  1. What's so bad about cannabis? It's not like it's EPO or steroids or something.
  2. Thanks, but I won't watch during the night probably (it doesn't work with Hola anyway, the download thing does ).
  3. This seems to work Thanks a lot, both of you! (hopefully it keeps working fine all month) Also, lol at the softcore (the middle one about Pokémon says "You got bigger...but so did they!" )
  4. That one 6 hour download @Dunadan posted in the open water thread also has quite a lot of diving, including the 10m mixed synchro final which I'm watching now Now I'm kinda wondering how you got to that download, it seems like a rather useful workaround for the next two weeks
  5. What's with the HUGE letters?
  6. This works (not without VPN, but for whatever reason this one does work with the VPN I used!) Grazie
  7. Didn't find any VPN that worked without paying, and I'm not about to pay for yet another service to watch sports (I already have some). So I guess that's gonna be a world champs that goes by unnoticed for me.
  8. Cool, are those these 'things'? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quipu
  9. Yep https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_Aquatics_Championships_medalists_in_diving Where much to my surprise I saw the first two men's 1m world champions are from the Netherlands and Zimbabwe
  10. I'm gonna guess I know the answer, but any chance this can be rewatched on YouTube or anything?
  11. Yeah they wanted 4-woman (even more non-competitive, but sure) and got an event that's made specifically for youth athletes and para-athletes
  12. I think everyone supports the idea in it's basic sense. The problem is taking away perfectly competitive events and replacing them by events that either are barely competitive or don't even exist in an established competition format yet (women's monobob as main example, it's been added to the Olympics for 2022 and it's not even a World Cup event yet (and I don't see it on next year's calendar neither). That's just nuts, whoever's fault it is.
  13. Yeah, Iranian cycling was sort of a collective 'cult hero' in the Netherlands, mostly with that one team (Tahbriz? Tariz? Something like it and with 'petrochemical' or something, I'm sure you know ) winning in Pro Cycling Manager style several times (sending half the team in the breakaway and destroying everyone)
  14. Lisek already had two pretty close attempts at 6,06m, only Bubka ever jumped either that or higher outdoors.
  15. Yeah it's not kids I see with a skateboard, only (very rarely) some hipster taking it into the train
  16. Lisek jumps over 6,02m and goes to 10th all-time
  17. Absolutely agreed, I'm just saying I can see there's a major difference between the cases Kenya is doing a terrible job, but a state-sponsored doping program is cheating on an entirely different level.
  18. Sifan Hassan broke Svetlana Masterkova's 23 year old world record on the mile
  19. Wow Nijel Amos 1:41.89, which is the 15th fastest time ever and the world's fastest time since Rudisha ran the WR in the London Olympic final (where Amos ran 1:41.73)
  20. Did people there care about skateboarding at some point? Because I seem to vaguely remember it was a bit of a big deal (or better, a 'not super small deal') 15 years ago or something when kids were actually trying it and going to school on their skateboard, but nowadays maybe I see someone with a skateboard once every two weeks or something Adding skateboarding to the Olympics is the absolute perfect example of old people thinking what kids did many years ago is now cool.
  21. Yes, but how many of those people exist (in countries where water polo for example isn't already shown on TV anyway)?
  22. If it was for an entire year including all major meets, I could imagine swimming fans doing so....but it's only for these two weeks or so The annual plan is €40 per year, that's €10 more than a year-long subscription to the Eurosport Player here (which has A LOT of different sports, live and on demand)
  23. I don't think Russia competing under authorization and a neutral flag is only about the number of doping cases....I'm sure the same will happen to Kenya when widespread state involvement in doping is proven.
  24. False start in the men's 400m, but the three outer lanes didn't hear the second gun and kept running for 150 meters or so...except for Jonathan Jones of Barbados, who didn't stop at all and finished, only then to notice something was off
