  1. aaargh!!! it looks that Nacra Medal Race is not gonna happen...wind is just not there... good for Italy, but it would be a real shame if we end the championships without the race that's expected to be the most spectacular of the entire tournament...
  2. sure...that's why I really hope thay won't make it an Olympic event in 2024... if they get to have a decent starting field and more than only 3/4 competitive Nations at the top, OK... otherwise, they should work to develop the discipline in a global way and only after that they could ask to jump into the Olympic schedule...
  3. Italy Colonial Empire? c'mon, man! we only went to Ethiopia and Lybia and it was a poor joke...that idiot with a big fat stomach and no hair (and no brain, more than that) who used to lead our Nation in the first part of the previous Century din't even get that Lybia was rich of oil and natural gas (so, we did never benefit from the only thing that we coud have from those stupid "adventures")... and at that time we never tried to get people from those Countries to ours (slavery in Italy has been cancelled way before the modern era, even if now it's institutional...in the sense that normal working people earn a misery and have almost only constrictions and no rights, but that's just another story)... and nowadays we (as Italian people) can't do anything if many European Nations try to keep all those starving to death Africans coming to Europe within our territory... now we have more than 10% of our population that's not anymore "100% with pure Italian heritage"... what should we do? discriminate those kids who came here as little children (or even those who are born in our Nation) and avoid them to have access to our schools, sports structures and eventually to represent Italy? however, if Poland, Hungary and the other Visengrad Nations adopted a decent and really "European" policy about immigration, today they would also have a bunch of Africans getting them some medals in long distance Athletics races... because every European Nation (also yours) is way richer than those where those people are coming from and they would be a nicer place to live for them... maybe it's sad, maybe not...but that's the pure truth... p.s. the same criteria apply (at least in part) also to Central and North European Countries...but I don't want to make this thread a political one...so, let's stop this thing here, please...and just enjy the races for what they are aand for the show they put on offer...
  4. at least in the women's event there were some more competitive Nations than the men, where the top 8 kiteboarders in the final rankings are all from France or Great Britain (the Russian Denis Taradin, 9th at the end, has been the best outside those 2 Countries)...
  5. Final Results (NON-Olympic Classes) Men's Kiteboard Gold: Nicolas Parlier, 27 pts Silver: Guy Bridge, 31 pts Bronze: Maxime Nocher, 40 pts Women's Kiteboard Gold: Daniela Moroz, 13 pts Silver: Elena Kalinina, 26 pts Bronze: Alexia Fancelli, 40 pts
  6. yes...I'm gonna post the final results in a moment... p.s. it looks that there's a slight delay for Nacra MR because of poor wind...
  7. not so much fun with the men and women's RS:X medal races, as they both were already decided before the start (there was only little battle for silver and bronze) and the poor wind didn't help the show... but now it's time for the grand finale, the most spectacular class (and the closest in terms of ranking, with 3 crews in 3 points before the MR and 6 still theorically in contention -even if only 4 have a real chance to end up on top)... Nacra 17 Foiling medal race comin'up... c'mon, guys! give us some satisfaction in the end...
  8. Final Results Men's RS:X Gold: Dorian Van Rjisselberge, 58 pts Silver: Kiran Badloe, 85 pts Bronze: Louis Giard, 92 pts Women's RS:X Gold: Lilian De Geus, 48 pts Silver: Charline Picon, 78 pts Bronze: Lu Yunxia, 82 pts

Youth A: competitors eligible to register for this Age Group shall have been born either 16 or 17 calendar years before the year of the competition. e.g. those competing in the Youth World Championship in 2018 shall have been born in either 2001 or 2002. iii. 11. hopefully, we're gonna get back to "A"... otherwise I still think that "D" would be the best option... "B" would be very disappointing like this year...and I hope not to see anymore anything like that... "C" is a senseless farce...it makes no sense at all (like for soccer at the Summer Games)...that's definitely the option to stay away from all the time...
  12. hey, man! don't steal the jokes!
  13. Bekh is back (on the podium)...
  14. c'mon, guys...Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Field Hockey, Waterpolo and Football (Soccer) will never get off the Olympic program... and having Softball without the correspondent men's event (Baseball has no chance to stay in the program, since it's more and more obvious that in 2020 there won't be any Major Leaguer in Tokyo) is not an option for the IOC... so, we already know which team sport will be dismissed in Paris...
  15. me too...I'm always satisfied when he does NOT win anything...
  16. in any case, today there was quite a conflict of interests at the top of the ranking, since the Frenchwoman Beaugrand is engaged to the Swiss guy Fridelance...
  17. and a good piece of wood for Tamberi...
  18. to explain...in Italian, Anguilla = Eel (since, this tasty dish of fried eels)...
  19. no, it's the supervisor of all throwing events for our team, but he's not a "field coach" (not even for hammer throwers)...
  20. yesss, you'd rather say...
  21. decent day for us, but the loss in the men's senior final is very painful... the girls, instead, have definitely shown a good shape this week...their bronze medal is already beyond today's expectations...
  22. until they pretend to consider this "thing" a serious one meanwhile one of the 4 Major Tournaments of the year is running at the same time...
  23. and Rotolo out in the first round once again... and they still consider her "a talent", "a prospect"...
  24. day #2 at the Judo Grand Prix in Budapest (HUN) women's -63kg Gold: Aimi Nouchi Silver: Martyna Trajdos Bronze: Agata Ozdoba-Blach & Andreja Leski women's -70kg Gold: Saki Niizoe Silver: Sanne Van Dijke Bronze: Sally Conway & Kelita Zupancic men's -73kg Gold: Miklos Ungvari Silver: Masashi Ebinuma Bronze: Frigyes Szabo & Arthur Margelidon men's -81kg Gold: Alan Khubetsov Silver: Kenya Kohara Bronze: Sagi Muki & Robin Pacek
