  2. no, no... the Dutch Flag is NOT blue, white and RED...
  3. I hope so...

  7. it looks a George Clooney's commercial...'Wooden medal, what else?'

  10. the first one was clear... the second one...well, the hit was there, but the whole action was a bit confused and it could have been evaluated differently...giving the 2 points to the French girl was not a scandal, however... so far, I have to say the refereeing is pretty decent, compared to the standard of the past... right now, today I only strongly disagree with 2 matches...the bronze medal bout gifted to Coban in the women's 61kg and the gold medal bout between the Frenchman Dacosta and the Italian Maresca, who was robbed big time of a deserved gold medal... in all the other bouts I've watched I haven't seen any shameful and suspicious misdemeanor, just a few close calls that could easily have gone the other way round...but in those cases you can't call them scandals or robberies for sure...
  11. when you watch a bout like the men's -67kg final, the "karate = boxing" comparison is quite clear... and then some people are surprised when they're asked if do we really need another thing like this at the Olympic Games?
  12. this time is Loch's triumph (6th world title)... the funeral can start, now...
  13. I just can't belive that! Pavlichenko makes a capital mistake on the last curve and blows it away... is it gonna be Loch or is it gonna be another Austrian upset?
  14. OK, my day's over... as expected, K-Fisch waste the chance of his life... and Austria is on the podium in the men's single once again (and always with someone different from time to time)...
  15. and Ludwig is behind the Austrian... 3 left...
  16. wow! Egger had a great final stint in run #2... Can Austria put some winning cards on the table once again?
  17. Repilov losing time vs Eissler despite being quicker at the last curve...that's not promising at all (= Loch's gonna do it once again)...
  18. and Navarria is out, too... 2 competitions, no Italians in the top 8... shame! shame! shame! on them...
  19. D-Fisch lost almost 2/10 in the final 3 curves from Kindl...no way he can climb up the standings with such a performance... being out of the Olympic medals for 1/1000 of a second was so painful, but being so far away from the podium like today...well, it really sucks!
  20. so, Iran, Egypt and Japan (twice each) plus France and Ukraine (once each) won the last Bronze Medal matches of this morning... now (2.30 p.m. CET) it's time for the "big ones"...
  21. Women's Team Foil (St.Maur, FRA) Final Results Gold: France Silver: Russia Bronze: Italy Semifinals: France b. USA 45-44 Russia b. Italy 45-38 Bronze Medal Match: Italy b. USA 45-37 Gold Medal Match: France b. Russia 41-39 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://fie.org/competitions/2019/824/results/rank
  22. great, great win for our Foil guys against the almost unbeatable US dream team... on the other side, our girls lost once again vs the Russians and will only fight for 3rd place in St.Maur (FRA and RUS will play for Gold)...
  23. naaa...in epee it's not that rare... however, not a good day for Italy once again... only Navarria is still in contention (but they are only at the round of 16)...all the guys are out before the quarterfinals (and Di Veroli didn't even make it through to the main draw of 64)...
  24. and now she's desperate...
  25. game over for anybody with a start number over 7/8...as expected... it's gonna be an "interesting" 2nd run, I guess...
