  4. Today in Milan we went above the 20° C mark (early) February is the new (late) Spring...
  5. Michela Moioli is back after a long time because of a back injury, but she wasn't so impressive... she was only 16th in the qualification ranking and 8th at the end of the day. the Italian men were disappointing once again...topping the quali and not making even the big final looks the the new trend...
  6. the highest winning bib ever was Markus Foser's #66 in Val Gardena in 1994. here's a complete list by discipline of the highest winning bibs: I can also tell you that in men's slalom there have been 3 wins with a bib higher than #45: #47, #60, #64 meanwhile #54, #63 and #65 made the podium once each, but they were not on the winner's shoulders. those stats have been taken "only" since the 1998/1999, though (therefore there might be more high "lucky numbers").
  7. 6.61 in the heats and then 6.57 in the final. he won the race, but it was a not so flashy start of the season for Marcel Jacobs
  8. it might be the best solution for everybody (except the trangender athletes, who have their chances to steal global medals dead and gone), after all...
  9. and don't forget the Orlen Cup in Lodz (16.30 CET, live on TVP Sport -needs a VPN from outside POL). highlight of the meet, 100m and 4*100m relay Olympic Champion Marcel Jacobs season's debut (preliminary heat at 17.10 CET, maybe final at 18.35 CET).
  10. nothing, it's only that it's quite famous because of the movie and the tv series (one my favourite, tbh). it would have been strange to know someone actually coming from that city. nothing more than that.
  11. oh, yes...you're right...I mentally exchaged those events (I want to take my heart problems with Sofia away as quick as possible )...
  12. well, 120 kms in the Mountains are a big distance...it can change a lot (altitude is also different...and counts a lot, too)... however, I posted earlier a link to a 14-day forecast (to be taken for what it is) in Courchevel/Meribel (actually, the closest weather station is in Chambery for both places in that region)...
  13. no news...which is great news, actually... however, all the team is supposed to go to France tomorrow (the first race is already on Monday, women's Super-G)...
  14. well, I hope she can recover mentally more than physically from Russian experience... I'd give her some time...it might have been quite scary for her in the last few months...
  15. don't tell me you live in Fargo...
  16. https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/@3023065/ext next week is acceptable, at least we have temperatures below 0 at night (which will allow the organizers to set up the tracks well), the only problems might happen on Monday with the women's Super-G, should it rain before and during the race. the following week instead might be problematic, with high temperatures (nights above 0) that might affect the setup and the overall quality of the tracks. rainy days might also give the organizers some troubles, especially if it happens in the speed events' days.
  17. so, it might be North or South Dakota? (since you said it's close to Minnesota)
  18. here in Milan, earlier Today it went up to 15° even at night it doesn't go close to 0 anymore which is good in terms of saving some heating expense, but it's so, so sad in terms of landscape... if it continues like that, by 2026 we're gonna have the Winter Olympic Games with people going to ice arenas with their swimsuits...
  19. I give up! I just came to a conclusion...I will never learn how to manage the Iranian names! I'm just gonna copy & paste the (surely wrong) UWW data... just kidding...you know that I'm always willing to learn, so, thanks for your patience and your valuable explaination by the way, there are some results from Yesterday and Today: Zagreb Open women's Wrestling Champions (Part #1) -50kg: Yui Susaki -55kg: Moe Kiyooka -59kg: Anastasia Nichita -62kg: Sakura Motoki -65kg: Mahiro Yoshitake -68kg: Koumba Selene Fanta Larroque men's Greco-Roman Champions (Part #1) -77kg: Mohammadali Geraei -87kg: Istvan Takacs

  23. Cross-Country Skiing World Cup in Dobbiaco/Toblach Today & Tomorrow (Sunday's relays will be a farce).
