  1. game #16, beat by 149 runs not even close to a surprise, today...the Kiwis went 288/6 in the 1st inning and then only scored 139 runs in 34.4 overs before they went all out game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102762 Tomorrow, game #17 will be on stage, with facing at 10.30 a.m. CET in Pune
  2. Sinner playing the Olympic tournament? good luck, my friend
  3. in the men's -61kg they already have Silachai, who's 4th or 5th in the standings, just a few kilos outside the medals...I don't think they would eventually choose anybody else men's 73kg is a Wichuma vs Abdullah fight for gold (unless take out of the fridge Shi) I agree about the girls...but behind everything is possible for and maybe even

  5. and the first stint of round #6 already revealed 4 of the 5 teams that locked their qualification place in the standings the newly qualified teams are: 12. Vìtkovice Ridera Ostrava 13. EHC Biel-Bienne 14. Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 15. Pelicans Lahti so, and have now bettered their contingent in the knockout stage to 3 teams and have increased their teams to 2, with a chance later Today to make it 3 out of 3 the last spot for the knockout stage, in fact, will be decided this evening between Oceláři Třinec (playing vs Aalborg), Belfast Giants (playing vs Pardubice) and Tappara Tampere the Finns have already played their 6 games and can only wait for the Czechs and the Britons' results, if the Giants win and/or Třinec earn at least 1 point, they are out Třinec are in with a win, no matter what the Giants do. If they lose in OT, they can still make it through in case the Giants don't win their match in regulation by at least a 4-goal margin the Giants have to win their match in regulation by at least a 4-goal margin and hope that Třinec lose their match (the goal margin would be useless if the Czechs lose in regulation)

  8. don't forget weightlifting, if they are capable of avoiding doping troubles (which would be a shame, as it looks more than evident that they didn't learn anything from the past) however, so far they have (good) chances in the men's -61 and -73 kilos and in the women's -49kg
  9. buffoni della peggior specie... ripristinare Cesana costerebbe molto puù che fare la pista nuova a Cortina...e, a differenza della località veneta, poi verrebbe abbandonata un'altra volta follia pura
  10. game #15, b. by 38 runs in a match shortened by rain, scored 245/8 in 43 overs in the 1st inning, meanwhile were only capable of scoring 207/all out in 42.5 overs in the 2nd inning game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102761 Standings after gameday #3 https://www.cricketworldcup.com/standings Tomorrow, gameday #4 starts with the matchup between and at 10.30 a.m. CET in Chennai
  11. no, coastal rowing replacing the normal rowing lightweight events is the only approved change for the core sports all the other requests (there were about 16, if I remember correctly) have been rejected so, there shouldn't be any change to the other sports, but with this IOC we will know that only in July 2028
  12. I'm not saying that they are "weak", I just think there are at least 6/7 pairs that in their best moments are better than them (and Menegatti & Gottardi are one of them, even if so far they have shown to be mentally too fragile to get the results they technically could)
  13. no, I love being so lazy! jokes aside, I couldn't start running even if I wanted...my left knee will never allow me to try and make any effort in that sense (I have a non-operated ACL...just have to be very conservative on that)
  14. about Tennis predictions don't forget that it will be a tournament on clay just after Wimbledon and before the American hard courts campaign I'll be really surprised if many top players will enter the Olympic event, except maybe for the true clay court specialists right now, for instance, I give Sinner's withdrawal just after Wimbledon 2024 at 1.15, not more than that
  15. Day 9 (Saturday, Aug. 3rd) men's Floor women's Vault men's Pommel Horse Day 10 (Sunday, Aug. 4th) men's Rings women's Uneven bars men's Vault Day 11 (Monday, Aug 5th) women's Balance Beam men's Parallel Bars women's Floor men's Horizontal Bar p.s. Wikipedia has a different lineup, but it can't be correct...you just need to watch the total time of each session to understand that the last day is the only one that can accomodate 4 finals instead of 3
  16. no upsets Today... easily beat by 5 wickets scored only 209/all out in 43.3 overs in the 1st inning, then answered with a quick 215/5 in only 32.2 overs game details https://www.cricketworldcup.com/match/102746 Tomorrow the 3rd gameday will be completed with game #15, when will face at 10.30 a.m. CET in Dharamsala
  17. if they make it an Olympic discipline, the number of participants would quickly increase
  18. surely it would be more entertaining (and more "global") than flag football and lacrosse
  19. it's between Skt. Moritz and Innsbruck, really the Austrians asked for at least 15 million € to host the Olympic events, the Swiss would do it for free (just asked to cover the track preparation's fee), but the president of the Swiss federation is a personal enemy of a few people in the organizing committee, so he's trying to go against the chance (while the owners of the track are pushing to settle any personal fight and not miss such kind of opportunity) it's money vs politics (and personal feuds) we'll see how it ends for sure, I only say that I'm ashamed, disgusted and furious...but I'm not gonna add anything else, because if I write what I really think of this whole drama, it might cause me a lot of troubles...so...
  20. Squash = 32 women, 32 men tournaments = 64 quota places Cricket = 6 teams / tournament = total 12 teams, 15 players each team = 180 quota places Flag Football = 6 teams / tournament = total 12 teams, 11 players each team = 132 quota places Lacrosse Sixies = 6 teams / tournament = total 12 teams, 11 players each team = 132 quota places Softball = 6-team tournament, 15 players each team = 90 quota places Baseball = 8-team tournament, 24 players each team = 192 quota places Total = 790 quota places (which is about the number announced earlier this morning by the IOC)
  21. it might be Skt.Moritz...hopefully even if I'd like more that the whole sliding sports would be cancelled...actually, I'd like the whole 2026 Olympics to be cancelled
  22. US and Japanese Baseball playoffs, Cricket World Cup and all of my free time has gone hope to be able to watch also the RWC semis and the start of the Wintersports season (Short Track WC), though
  23. most likely, they will get back to a shorter version of the old fencing round (being the athletes divided in smaller groups for the semis and the final, it wouldn't take much time to have a single round robin...with 12-(wo)man groups, it's only 11 rounds of 1 minute-match on 6 pistes, let's say 55 mins in total)
  24. that was the final number of participants in Tokyo
