    More than a bit. He must be the first rider ever that got eliminated in a qualifying round (2 refusals at the water) and won an individual medal afterwards! In fact, this is the first time I saw a competition where riders that got eliminated were allowed to compete in the following individual rounds. They can usually only continue to compete for a team, if the team competition hasn't been completed at that point.

    Well, this is an interesting format. Apparently everyone starts with 0 penalties in the final round. Iranian rider didn't jump clear in any of the previous round (he got eliminated in one of them, in fact). And yet, he jumped clear here and has secured gold medal jump-off in the worst case scenario!
