    are holding ice dance quotas after the short dance. I'm pretty sure that Allison Reed will struggle to get Lithuanian citizenship though. are definitely within the striking distance going into the free dance. South Korea is actually guaranteed extra quota place if they fail to qualify, what is an utter nonsense. So, if they finish in top 6 here then we'll have 24 couples at the Olympics, if not then there will be 25. Either give them a host quota or not, this is just stupid!

    Telemark is pretty much just a combination of alpine and cross-country skiing. Just like many other new winter events, it offers nothing new. Winter Olympics already have way too many very similar events so I'm against adding anything new (aside from women's nordic combined, when it reaches a satisfactory level).

    Looks like canoe slalom is one of the very few individual sports for which Macedonia gives a damn. A lot of their athletes have showed up at the biggest competitions over the years.

    50km is more than an hour though, I wonder how ice would look at the end. They never let more than 3 pairs race in men's 10000m, in between the ice resurfacing.

    It was only logical I'm afraid. Firstly, why should only double sculls have lightweight events and nothing else? Secondly, why don't we also have these lightweight events in canoeing, sailing, cycling etc?

    Sinković brothers dominated in their heat of men's pairs. This is only their first year in this boat, previously they competed in double sculls (where they are Olympic champions in fact). Btw, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines already look like a very good candidate for Tripartite invitation at the next Olympics. Would be refreshing to see them outside of athletics/swimming for the first time ever.

    Maybe Qatar can host it. Indoor bobsleigh, ski jumping etc.

    As if Medeo is hosting anything these days... Besides, requirement for Olympics is indoor venue. 2022 bidding had Oslo/Stockholm/Krakow at this stage, so it's not like I can believe any European bid at this point.
