  1. Nice try Longines, but is actually US Virgin Islands flag.
  2. Individual Championship Grade II Para-dressage Stinna Tange Kaastrup - 72.735% Pepo Puch - 72.676% Nicole den Dulk - 70.735% Pepo got robbed by inconsistent judging.
  3. Lee Pearson retires on course after his horse wasn't too obedient. This also eliminates him from freestyle, and screws my prediction.
  4. Well, both of their horses are getting older, so they are not on the upward curve like some of the British/Australians/New Zealanders. Of course they won't be too old for Tokyo, but I just don't see them improving as much. Also, former German national coach Chris Bartle has switched to GB after Rio. He brought Germany from nothing in early 2000s to winning everything... And now he has basically created Rosalind Canter from being C/D rider to World champion in less than two years. That man is a miracle worker.
  5. I don't take a habit of making bets with people who are completely clueless about what they're talking about. That would be sadistic. You obviously just want Germany to win. And in lack of any reasonable arguments you already went to a personal level, so discussion ends here.
  6. Not exactly apocalyptic, but it's indeed pretty bad solution. The whole point of Olympics is gathering everyone (athletes, media, spectators, volunteers...) at the same place, or relatively same place. You might as well retire Olympics altogether and just have World championships with such ideas. Why Calgary shouldn't host everything themselves? They have all the required venues as far as I know.
  7. Switzerland surprisingly leads squad vaulting after compulsaries. Looks like it will be Switzerland vs Germany for gold, and Austria vs USA vs Italy for bronze.
  8. Individual Championship Grade IV Para-dressage Sanne Voets - 73.927% Rodolpho Riskalla - 73.366% Susanne Jensby Sunesen - 73.146% First Tryon medals for each of these nations, finally we start to build a proper medal table. Second ever WEG medal for Brazil.
  9. Looks like a para-dressage medal coming up for Brazil.
  10. Disasterous start for Germany in squad vaulting. RIP everyone's predictions. EDIT: Looks like that was Czech team in fact... Despite the results system showing German flag.
  11. Nope, Europe is incapable. It's either Calgary or another dictatorship event.
  12. France has very anonymous team. Same for Canada.
  13. Keep dreaming. Great Britain is almost a safe team gold for every competition in immediate future. Followed by Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Japan. Germany will be lucky to take one medal in Tokyo as things stand.
  14. Dezbee is East coast, while Olympian1010 is West coast, soo... Where are we going? Florida? California? Nebraska?
  15. Do you think we will see Memo/Memin making a comeback? Possibly as Mema or Memino?

  17. I have to say that @heywoodu is not the most welcoming salesperson...
  18. It's not B team when a ridiculous amont of them is on the same level. Oliver Townend should have received suspension for horse abuse after Badminton, so at least he missed out on this...
  19. Do you know finally believe in your eventers?
  20. It's funny how composite teams qualification will work (I'll just assume that both Group F/G quotas will get reallocated). Basically the most isolated eventing nations (who organize 3* events) will qualify! That means likely Russia and Brazil I'd say, maybe Belarus. 3* competitions give the same numbers of points to winner no matter what's the size of a field (100 or 1 competitors). And it's the Russian competitions in Vladikavkaz, or Brazilian competitions in Barretos that usually have only home athletes (Russia sometimes gets Belarussion or Kazakh guests but that's it). Belarus also organizes quite a few 3* competitions in Minsk. Nobody (from mainland Europe) is crazy enough to travel to such places. Logistically impossible.
  21. Someone losing gold at the very last fence is just about the most anti-climactic ending possible.
  22. Last fence down for Ingrid. Unbelieveable.
  23. Gold for GB. Piggy's round deserved to have more than one down, but oh well.
  24. One down for Sarah, but team silver secured. Also individual bronze at least. First Irish World championships medals since 1978 (individual) and 1966 (team).
