Of course its not surprising that Preuß again (almost) messed up, its not her fault, still the wind played a much more important role. Yeah, thats also true. Hinz would have been a better decision, still conditions were completely unfair. How many athletes did get through with a clean sheet? Wierer moved from first, to 1 minute back to first again within a couple of minutes, that alone should be proof enough. This race takes place once every four years, obviously officials never did sport at a level like this, otherwise they could have never made such disgusting decisions.

Of course i know that this discussion makes no sense, because its belarus that won the gold and if this would have been against belarus, you would be saying the complete opposite, so i have no illusion about you changing your opinion. Surprises me every time how people can watch a competition like that and call it fair, when results are completely different than what we have seen for the past couple of years, it only shows that most people on here never did sport at a decent level on their own and therefore have no clue what it feels like to train for so long and then getting robbed by some officials that dont care about fair sport, rather its 99% about nationality. This attitude will never change here, so why even bother to quote me if we both know that you dont care about fairness but only about the nationality of the winner?

So sad that fairness seems to be the least important thing nowadays. Whoever is responsible at IBU will hopefully pay for this. Training 4 years and then having to compete under such conditions is absolutely incredible, probably the responsible person never competed at elite level and doesnt know what that feels like.

On the one hand i think people should be "allowed" to do a sport as long as they enjoy it, on the other hand i dont really think she does herself a favor. If she isnt competitive now, she will be much less competitive in 4 years, of course its also sad that she would be good enough to make the olympics team in every nation except for the Netherlands. I still think this might be a joke of her, i believe it when i see it.

I noticed him at the junior world championships, i couldnt believe his winning margin. He must be an extraordinary talent i think not even Kristoffersen had such a huge margin at junior world championships.

I think 32 medals are realistic: Bobsleigh, cross-country, curling, figure skating, 2 x ice hockey, 2 x shorttrack, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, speed skating I don't see more than 3 gold medals though, so for me it would be extremely surprising for Canada to win more golds than Germany. I think Germany wont win more than 30 medals, so Canada should be pretty safe there.

I am not surprised that Nöckler choked. He is german speaking, as are almost all the italian athletes who underperformed here (Paris, Innerhofer, Fill, Hofer, Wierer). This cant be a coincidence, considering that so many german athletes underperformed here as well.

I think medal of Goggia in superg, medal of man alpine skier would have surprise, also medal of team sprint, medal of luge relay. Not medal of Visintin, Wierer was surprise. Not medal of Fisch was 50/50. What does table tell? Italy only 11, but when i wrote they top 10, so better (now Japan gold in speed skating, so now Italy 11). Edit: Table also says Uzebkistan, Chile, Israel medal, so must be wrong.
