  1. We were missing the cherry on top of the cake. http://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1049085/mixed-gender-race-walking-event-proposed-by-iaaf-for-world-championships-and-tokyo-2020 Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, 4x5000 mixed track race walking relay makes an appearance
  2. Of all the proposed things, I personally aproved: - High Diving, pretty spectacular sport, and fits with this new "young and spectacular" theme that IOC wants. - More than 8 teams in women's waterpolo. But I think with 10 teams would be enough. - The mixed shooting events look interesting - The rowing boat change. - Two more women's boxing. - Mixed syncrro duet - Madison. (Actually I would dig ANY change in the track events) I'm not so into 3x3 basketball or BMX freestyle thing but I can see them getting added due to IOC wanting to aproach to younger audiences. And the Triathlon relay I would accepted only if there's not a mandatory order from them to take place. It should be free. I wouldn't mind table tennis events to be Doubles rather than teams, but it should be one or the other. And I wouldn't mind either if they change women's 800m freestyle to 1500, and so they do the same as men. Mixed events in taekwondo, judo and pentathlon sounds like a joke. And no need for swimming programe to get bigger. I don't think Wieightlifting is in the position to ask for another event, they should drop one of men's weigths. Mixed archery, meh, not impresed but the fact that don't need new quotas could help them getting in.
  3. It would be priceless to see the faces of shooting, rowing and canoeing if the IOC accepted all of FINAs proposals after they had to change pre existing olympic events to fit the IOC rules.
  4. half marathon race walking? Well, what a shitty thing, why just not keep 20km and that's it? I was hoping for women's 50km to be add and now this news..... As a race walking lover this makes me sad. 50KM is the ultimate endurance in athletics and races usually prove to be a good show.
  5. Aren't those new rules that in case of a tie "whoever asked first for that weigth wins" kind of stupid?
  6. I'm rooting for Malaysia, Philippinnes, Belgium and South Korea for the men's olympics quotas in the other qualifying event. For the girls I hope Armenia, Singapore, Taipei, Brazil and Australia get them (and our spanish girl of course). In pairs I'm team North Korea, Australia and Czech Republic.
  7. Praying for the Singapore girl to qualify
  8. And only six places left for all this woman? Sadly, pretty impossible for Vicky Padial
  9. Olympic cyclist in 2016, Ane Santesteban, was hit by a car two days ago while training. The driver drag her and her bike out of the road and then he run away. She was left unconscious and alone for some minutes until a couple found her and call the ambulance. Luckily she's ok and will be back to cycling soon.
  10. But, anyway, that look like stupid rules for qualifiying. If you're on the top2 of WCH and there's only one athlete of your country it's because the others aren't good enough to fulfit the minimum marks, why award them with 3 places?
  11. They probably wont know about the qualifiying rules, for sure.
  12. Hi guys, I need help with one thing. With the upcoming Figure Skating World Championships coming up, I want to know what Javier Fernandez needed to do so Spain can had three quotas in men singles.
  13. Well, the best athletes are missing because they want.
  14. What a shame Spain is just having a heat wave in March the same day's the world championships are happening.
  15. Nope. I was thinking just Kevin Lopez will get medal and he finished last...
  16. And know 3/6 spaniards in the 800 final. Boys, get at least one medal...
  17. I'm still with tears of joy for the gold of Mechaal in 3000 He really deserved that, I hope now he gets the credit he deserved among spanish fans, becouse they don't like he very much. He's speech in he post race interview has pretty much perfect!
  18. I hope so, the three of them are born in the 90's, so they're still young, great future ahead. But, to be truth, the fact that Tuka DNS in the 2nd semifinal helped a lot.
  19. ¡GO RUTH! But I think Airine would win gold.
