  1. Some interesting results for Ukrainians at this WCh: Klunnikova, sadly, got tough group and finished as border nq in women's competition. However, she showed some progress during this season, so I hope that she managed to qualify later. Tovkai and Popov moved on to SF, such a great move for Roman, who is only 19 y.o. Tovkai keep showing level and, hopefully, we will see decent fencing round tomorrow from him.
  2. so it means that 55 sailors will qualify to Gold Fleet?
  3. Who can explain how does the competition formula in women's dinghy work? How many athletes qualify in Gold and Silver fleet?
  4. Ukraine qualified at the Paralympics in boccia, what a great result for our para athletes
  5. Okay, man, but today Ukrainians beat 11th Cottafava/Nicolai, earlier McHugh/Burnett, fought hard against Felipe/Renato and Hodges/Schubert at the tie-breaks. Obviously, they have a lot to improve, BUT there is a fact that they start to playing tournaments only 2 months ago when other teams start their seasons in March. Now they can qualify for first ever WCh and move in WR, with possible career high 21st next week. By the way, there is some chance that Popov/Reznik can qualify, and I can belive in that, because they trained abroad with good coaches from Germany or Brazil. Another possible strenght is height (Popov is 1.88 and Ed is 2.07), so we can imagine scenario when chemistry between this two can work - today is the example of it.
  6. Fenomenal week for our country, first ever entrance in top-8 and top-4 at the EuCh looks promising. Sergiy and Eduard have a chance to become second team in play sports in Paris, so wish them good luck.
  7. So if I understand correctly, Ukraine will qualify for the OQT's in both men and women because for our girls there is no competition due to France and Wales are ineligible for OQT?
  8. @dcro I need your help because I feel so stupid in terms of understanding MERs At first, I found such rule: Athlete/Horse combinations that have completed the first or second round of the team Jumping Competition at the FEI Jumping European Championship 2023 or Pan-American Games 2023 or other FEI Jumping Continental Championships for Seniors 2023 (provided the Continental Championship has the status of a qualifying Event for achieving the MER for the Olympic Games) with a Score of not more than eight (8) penalties. Does it mean, that Alisa Danilova achieved MER, because she have 0 penalties in first round? Anastasia Bondarieva showed 4 penalties at the Grand Prix in Prague, will it count as MER (height of obstacle was 1.55m, class of event CSIO4*
  9. Yes, absolutely WC points is regular points (multiplied by 1), so it is 64-52-40-36 etc.
  10. And that is why Yulia Bakastova destroyed Martina Criscio with 5:0 during her boat
  11. it can't because Russians support putin and war in Ukraine. We cannot shake hands to people who financed missiles which killed our nation every motherf.cking day
  12. Absolutely shocking sentence, but kudos toour guys, I suppose it's our very first qualification tournament in field hockey
  13. This isn't Kharlan's only chance and this quota may not even be used, but Kharlan is potentially suspended for 60 days for what? For not shaking hands with a Russian woman? None of the Ukrainians will do this, especially considering that Smirnova's brother is connected to the Russian army. The disqualification was issued by the organizing committee, which is wrong and impossible, because a black card can only be given by the judge (doping is not taken into account) and no one else. The judge did not issue a black card to Olga, that is, he considered these actions to be normal. It is absolutely obvious that Kharlan turned the Ukrainian-Russian situation in sports by this action, the fact that Russians are under a neutral flag does not make them non-Russian. There were agreements with the federation, they were not fulfilled, the next time everyone will think three hundred times about whether it is necessary to disqualify for such a stupidity as a handshake or if it is possible to do with other methods for saluting and ending the fight.
  14. Babe, I don't want to disappoint you, but there would be a good chance that Kharlan would beat Ilieva in the second round and you would forget about the European quota forever, so this decision plays into the hands of Yoanna as well
  15. Ok so Kharlan qualified at the OG via special quota at least (it was suggested by our favorite Thomas Bach)
  16. Thanks, and how teams will ranked? Using number of penalties or total ammount of time?
  17. Who knows competition format for this qualifier?
  18. Small but important interview from Olga Kharlan 🗣 "Friends, hello everyone. Today was, as you can see, a very difficult and very important day. What happened today raises a lot of questions, but at the same time gives many answers. We understood that the country that terrorizes our state, our people, our families, also terrorizes sports. Because what happened today is what should have happened. 💬 I didn't want to shake this athlete's hand. I acted with my heart. So when I heard that they wanted to remove me from the competition and give me a black card, of course it killed me. It hurt so much that I screamed in pain. But then I started to come alive. Because you... Because your messages, your stories, your support, the support of everyone, especially our fighters who protect us. When I hear that I motivate them, or that my act motivates them, it's... It's indescribable. I thank each and every one of you, thank you to every fighter who protects us. ❤️ You know, no one can ever be forced into peace. Especially Ukrainians. No handshakes. Never. It will always be like that. I, like everyone in the adequate world, understand that the rules must change because the world changes. But what I feel from all of you cannot be expressed in words. Thanks to everyone, I feel everything, you are in my heart. Glory to Ukraine," said Olga. Yes, Kharlan was dq today, but it's one more argument why she is one of the greatest Ukrainian athletes in history. Absolutely incredible fencer, I proud of her so much
  19. So how quotas will be allocated and when?
  20. Kharlan got disqualification, Ilieve advanced into the R16(
  21. How many WC events do we have after WCh? 4?
  22. What a f.cking tough battle against GB in women's epee. Anyways, we entered top-16, so minimum task done
  23. Absolutely, this girl is so weak that she tries to disqualify Olga. This is an essense of russian sport
  24. Not so easy, but win for Kharlan, which obviously are very needed for Ukraine. 15:7 and Olya into the R32
  25. I have some good news for you - Ukrainian boycott was cancelled so it is a huge posdibility that we will see Kharlan tomorrow
