Bohemia reacted to Monzanator in Biathlon IBU World Cup 2024 - 2025
Selina Grotian is the 6th youngest World Cup winner among women (20yo 8 months).
Elin Kristiansen remains the youngest at 19yo 6 months (Anterselva 1988 sprint). Magdalena Neuner is the only other athlete to win before turning 20yo (19yo 11 months). Uschi Disl (20yo 1 month), Svetlana Davidova (20yo 3 months) & Martina Glagow (20yo 4 months) were also younger.

Bohemia reacted to Werloc in Biathlon IBU World Cup 2024 - 2025
Not only a new PB for our resident 39yo grandma (who would have guessed it, in a sprint even), but also the third best performance for Žurauskaitė.
The first ever time that two Lithuanian women get points in the same race.
The first time that three Lithuanian women qualify for a pursuit.
Nations cup record for women as well.
And mostly this result happened, because yesterday they got the news that Sara Urumova made world cup qualification at the IBU, we will have a women's relay after a 5 year hiatus and our chances to qualify our first historical women's relay squad to the Olympics is looking much much more likely now.
The men might struggle to keep their 20th place a bit more tbh

Yup, very nice to see Finland on the podium after so many years since Makarainen's retirement
Thought this would happen, just didn't expect it so soon and kinda leaned more towards the men's team.
On the other hand, it feels like Preuss is one of the unluckiest biathletes of all time. Not to mention the fact that she is sick every season, she might be up there for most 4th and 5th place finishes of all time and I can guarantee that many of them were lost podiums by just a second

Bohemia reacted to SalamAkhi in Sports d'hiver, en route pour Milan 2026

Bohemia reacted to Josh in [OFF TOPIC] General Chat
Haven’t done an update on my dad since mid July, so thought I’d share.
He ended up getting out of the hospital a couple days before the Olympics, and has generally been getting better the past couple of months.
Unfortunately, the past couple of days he’s been really sick, and was vomiting for much of yesterday. He was taken to the hospital last night, and is expected to be there for at least a couple of days.
Just sucks to see him struggling this much, hoping for as speedy of a recovery as possible

4th place after such a bad start is actually great (we often start off badly though I should be used to it by now )
Thank you to all the juries that voted for us! It means a lot this time because it's a song that is close to my heart, I'm glad you appreciated it
