Bohemia got a reaction from Grassmarket in Biathlon IBU World Cup 2025 - 2026
And what's interesting is that this is a completely different top 6 from the individual, no one has been in the top 6 in both races, which must not happen that frequently!

Bohemia reacted to OlympicIRL in Totallympics International Song Contest Discussion
Ok so I have given it some thought this week and I am willing to try to organise a contest. It is getting quite late in the year so the Grand Final might have to wait until after Christmas and New Year but let’s see how things go.
I will probably make it a more stripped down version to make it more manageable to organise but I think having the contest at all is more important.
Also I think I’d rather make this the Annual edition since we did not have an Annual contest this year and I think it would be nice to keep that tradition alive. The Open Contest allows us to pick songs from almost any period so there will always be a chance to showcase those songs any year. But for Annuals, it has to be songs released in the last 12 months and those songs haven’t had a contest since the 2024 Annual so I think it’s better to host the 2025 Annual now and then figure out where things go from there.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently traveling in Malaysia but will return next week. As I stated to Sindo recently, I had some mixed feelings about TISC lately. In the last few editions it saw interest go down considerably and I guess with that, it impacted my motivation as it does take a lot of effort and dedication to keep it running.
But of course you all know I love TISC and I have poured a lot of time and energy into it over the years. So I may be prepared to organise it myself later this year. I’ll wait until I am home next week before letting you know.
Thanks to all those who have continued to stay engaged over the years, I appreciate the support.

WTF
Laura Dahlmeier has had a mountaineering accident in Pakistan, and has not been reached yet by emergency services. A helicopter has flown over the area though and determined she is 'at least seriously injured', adding that they didn't see signs of life....

Evgeny Ustyugov has had all his results from January 2010 to the end of the 2013/14 season disqualified due to doping.
A few Olympic medals are expected to change hand as a result:
Vancouver 2010 Mass Start:
Gold: Martin Fourcade
Silver: Pavol Hurajt
Bronze: Christoph Sumann
Vancouver 2010 men's relay:
Bronze:
This also confirms the previous disquaification of the Russian relay team from the Sochi Olympics.

Amazing that Martin Fourcade can't stop winning Olympic gold medals even in retirement xD
Crazy how long this case has been going on, but glad it has been resolved.

Together with other friends of Volt, we launched a referendum in Italy to allow egalitarian marriage for same-sex couples in Italy. We expected very few signatures, instead we are at 70k signatures in a few days. We have three months to collect half a million signatures and get the referendum to the ballot box, but wow.

Bohemia reacted to Werloc in Biathlon IBU World Cup 2024 - 2025
So, JTB and Tarjei had 19 podium finishes in 2024/25, seeing as they're retired and won't be competing next season, thought it would be fun to do a completely unnecessary and inaccurate simulation of what breakthroughs next season might have:
The most decorated biathletes of this season without Boes would be as follows:
Laegreid: 6-6-3
Perrot: 4-2-2
Jacquelin: 3-1-1
Samuelsson: 2-2-2
Stroemsheim: 2-0-2
Wright: 2-0-1
Fillon-Mallet: 1-5-2
Giacomel: 1-5-1
Uldal: 1-0-3
Soerum: 1-0-2
Some interesting things happen, for example, Wright becomes sprint and pursuit world champion, Mandzyn gets a very rare podium for Ukraine at the start of the season. Horn and Frey get their first ever podium in world cup and Riethmueller gets a world cup victory.
For the nation medal table, Norway still convincingly takes first place:
Norway: 10-7-11
France: 8-11-5
And then everybody else fighting for scraps:
Sweden: 2-2-3
United States: 2-0-1
Italy: 1-5-1
Germany: 1-0-2
Slovenia: 1-0-0
Even without the Boes, only 9 countries on the podium, but Pidruchnyi for Ukraine comes in 4th for three times, other than that, only Finland and Switzerland were close to getting onto the podium. With how things are going, seems like it's going to be Norway's year next year too with all the hungry youngsters with two extra spots on the Norwegian team.

Yeah looks like she fell because of her pole that she put between her shoe and her ski, she didn't have much space in the turn so that's what caused this mistake.
Man I'm so sad it ends this way (and not just because I'm French and was rooting for Lou)
I wish we could've seen a sprint between them instead of such an anticlimactic ending. This is incredibly frustrating.
Nevertheless, congratulations to Preuss who had so much bad luck throughout her career, she deserves this so much.
Now I just hope Lou will win the overall someday, second year in a row where she's close to doing it

This was supposed to be exciting until the very last second, but with that fall it was the very WORST way for the women's globe to be decided...

Paja, perhaps would be slightly better to peak the shape just for a bit earlier period in the next season

Just quickly passing here to mention a chapeau bas to Fialková for her mega-jump today from 44th after the sprint to 6th in the pursuit.
Kudos where kudos is due. This was simply heroic performance from Paja.
Ok so that´s it.
I leave.
