Yep, strong winds all day, especially during the men's race.

I think our main problem is that most swedes have difficulties with the altitude. Ponsilouma one of few exceptions. Elvira Öberg and Sebastian Samuelsson in particular have shown this many times. Sebastians 5th place in sprint was by far his best performance ever in Antholz as an example.
 
Öbergs skipped Nove mesto to get some extra time on altitude agerad of the games but even that didnt help. 
 
then another factor is also that we bad skis in many (not all) races as well which  was surprising because usually I think we have a much better wax team in biathlon than XC but not in the olympics.

Same for Switzerland. Record was 15 and now we have 21. But we also have to push speed skating and shorttrack. But we won medals in 7 different sports (Alpine Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Ski Jumping, Ice Hockey, Curling, Ski Mountaineering) i hope for Ice Climbing and Ski Mountaineering Individual and Vertical for the next games. That would be a good opportunity for Switzerland.

Who cares? We won 10-30. It's like a dream.

Have you not seen our great recent artistic performance in bobsleigh ?

We basically never win anything on ice except one figure skating medal from time to time and one historic bobsleigh back in 1998. Definitely, our only hope to win medals (plural) on ice relies on speed skating. We have the athletes thanks to roller, and a new program that has started 2 years ago under a new federation. Performances in Milan were very encouraging.

I hope so, because more than half of our medals coming from biathlon is a bit sad.

Unpredictable did happen  with the silver medal & makes entry to the medal table.
This equals 30 NOC/Countries (highest ever) on the medal table.
(Counting AIN medal ofcourse)

You have good athletes already in snowboard and freestyle, they just need some extra guidance to make the jump to being elite ones.
 
Alpine is lacking, especially on the women's side, so a lot of work needs to be done there. Cross-country showed big potential on the men's side, but the women are again not present. Ski-jumping has Faubert, but that is a specific sport.
 
The biggest problems are in the skating and sliding sports. As we see those sports bring looooooooots of medals and France is nowhere near competitive in them (bar one Loubineaud).

Before the start of the Olympics, we never dreamed of 3rd, 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th and 20th places in biathlon. Thank you girls. It was incredible
