Well, at the very least we are winning a couple of matches today, all 4 GR Hungarian wrestlers are in the QFs.

I think it's 50-50, I wouldn't call it a surprise if you beat us, we were a bit sloppy against Kazakhstan as always. I don't expect anything from us, this team has disappointed me too many times over the years.

Yeah, this can't even be compared to Croatia on the men's side because they were kinda weak at the 2021 WCh while Norway... well, they won ECh 2020.

We must be a bit unlucky at this event because I feel like many Hungarian wrestlers ended up in the repechage round. The Ukrainian who defeated Barka literally destroyed the Swedish wrestler in the SF.

Serbia got two positive PCR tests, we don't know who, only that the positive tests weren't among the players. Hopefully they can play against Russia.

Terrible day for us, we will likely have only one male freestyle wrestler in Tokyo.

I am not confident in our team at all, based on how we played in the last few years we shouldn't be at the Olympics. But Serbia doesn't really deserve the spot based on that either, it should have been Denmark or Germany, I feel sorry for them, they are clearly better than us and Serbia.

Hungarian expectations according to the coaches: Men's freestyle: we expect 1 quota, most likely from Dániel Ligeti (125+), maybe 2 if everything goes perfectly, from István Veréb (84) or Kuramagomedov Murad (74). Women's freestyle: we want at least 1 quota, likely from Emese Barka (57), or maybe Zsanett Németh (76) Greco-roman: we want 1 quota, anything more would be amazing, our best chance is Bálint Korpási (67), and then maybe Erik Torba (60) So 1-1-1, if we won't disappoint we would add at least 3 quotas to the 4 that we already have. We had 8 wrestlers in Rio.

I think this is the first time ever that the Olympic men's handball tournament won't have a single Slavic nation (unless we count the 1936 tournament).
