  1. OK, but is is possible to fake a measurement anymore? I know it was done at the Rome World Champs when there was manual measurement, but nowadays it is all digital, no human involvement. We have seen problems with setting up the equipment in a few events - is happening in the Triple Jump now.
  2. But did they measure it from the right mark? Easy to believe lines are wrong, it's possible that they measured the wrong mark, but I don't think that the equipment itself can be rigged. So, using Sherlock Holme's principles, the wrong mark is the most likely error.
  3. He has married up, no doubt about it.
  4. He's in Group B for the discus, so 75 minutes to find a miracle cure.
  5. It's not just Germany. I have problems with France & Australia as well.
  6. Kevin Mayer out? Looks injured and doubtful. Making gestures to the coaching team
  7. Tokyo? It’s like the Germans are concentrating on Paris.
  8. Only managed about 75 tonight
  9. I like her! Nobody runs more races a season than Kambundji.
  10. European 400m running is so far behind. European record is still 44.35 or something - there are dozens of guys out there better than that.
  11. Seemingly KJT's score is 4th best first day score of all time.
  12. It is better than his usual start, which is putting the hammer into the cage and having to get a bloke with a ladder to rescue it.
  13. Tony Minichello, BBC Expert, has Thiam on 7000, KJT on 6900 at the end.
  14. No, plenty expertise in the BBC Comms - one of them used to be Jess Ennis' coach - but they are all incurable optimists.
  15. KJT 13.86! PB!!!
  16. Only if Thiam has not fully recovered from injury, I'm afraid.
  17. Think Lyles can do both, I think he just wanted to concentrate on getting his first major here, but in future will double up.
  18. Cause the laser measurement has nothing to do with the on-screen graphics.
  19. Czech runner in the 1500m has a Finnish name, Kristiina Maki.
  20. Yeah, Kelsey, stick to curries for the next few days.
  21. Or Burkina Faso either.
  22. Well, except the ones who run 65 seconds for the 400m.
  23. And in the early days it was once every four years.
