I made this mistake before. You can tie for bronze & silver, but for Gold they will keep jumping all night at lower heights until they get a result.

I love that in the Modern Pentathlon everyone wears their service uniform for the show jumping.

Back in the very olden days - up till the 1980s - before professional athletics started, all the Kenyan & Ethiopian athletes were policemen & Army officers.

Used to be that you got a good jump if you cleared the mat before the bar fell! People would sprint off the mat! You were also allowed to put the bar back on with your hand as you jumped over, a very extreme skill, but some could do it.

I did think that was very odd. Usually they have Scottish names....ahem!
