  1. Very first throw of the whole final!
  2. Returning to something we were talking about a couple of days ago, the distance measurement screen graphics in the Long Jump here are not accurate, jumps measured at 6.50 look more like 6.75 on the graphics.
  3. I'm not explaining it very well. Athlete runs North-South in Lane 1, hands over to another athlete who runs South-North in Lane 2. It's like watching a sewing machine, really.
  4. They do them on the US circuit - athletes run in both directions.
  5. Too bad there's no relay.
  6. It's four to qualify as well, she could have stopped for coffee and still qualified.
  7. Very, very hot conditions.
  8. No, still 4 guys alive.
  9. Who was saying there are not Qataris here?
  10. Both know it's their only chance of a track medal, so they concentrate on it.
  11. No surprise: they never practise!!! Hmm, seems not!
  12. Kilty is a real relay specialist though - just having lots of fast guys does not work, as the USA just proved.
  13. Horrible race from the USA. All big egos as usual.
  14. Did he remember to snap them out of it?
  15. Lucky losers, though, if you have a lane you have a chance.
  16. France DQF! Australia unable to deal with gravity! A race to safe on my video for Christmas!
  17. And won't till 3000 unless they can learn to stand on their feet in the Northern hemisphere.
  18. Has been injured all week.
  19. Australia it was who fell down.
  20. His brother is Mitchell Starc, plays cricket for Australia.
  21. That was the 80s. I go back to the early 1970s when there were lots of great Scottish distance runners.
  22. These close-packed 1500m races definitely favour the bigger Euro/American athletes, against the smaller Africans.
  23. 3 Scots in the final! Like the good old days of the 1970s.
