  1. This was announced a few years ago. Sprint will be classical and team sprint will be freestyle.
  2. I think the biggest problem for Australian football is how big the roster size is. Rugby League Nines might be a more realistic "out there" selection.
  3. Also, guys, Timothy Loubineaud won a race. This isn’t a joke. (a very messy mass start from a breakaway, but it counts!)
  4. Massive upset - the mass start has been the best event this week. First win for since… when?
  5. Ya but the replacement is Pat Bondi, a choice that is only better in so far as Pat Bondi isn't credibly accused of having had sex with multiple underaged girls. Also, you might recognize this name: Pete Hoekstra has been nominated to be the US ambasador to Canada.
  6. This is now a *fourth* BJK Cup for Errani.
  7. Using the nations league for playoff qualification is such a bad idea.
  8. It's always so much fun when a breakaway actually works in the mass start. Also, notable that Stolz actually won four gold medals - he also competed in the team pursuit.
  9. In what must be one of the great miracles of the entire season, the men's mass start in the 4c's was... entertaining :O
  10. Jordan Stolz is still looking pretty, pretty good
  11. He says that vaccines causes autism, but joke’s on him, I’m already autistic so I can be get as many vaccines as I want!
  12. And now we get to see if RFK Jr do to America what he already did to Samoa.
  13. Is anyone arguing that this wasn't nepotism? xD The fact that RFK ended up being a great AG is really one of the great happy accidents of history, but he wasn't qualified for the role and it was so egregious Congress passed a law to prevent a nomination like that from happening again.
  14. I predict "Not Like Us" is going to be a very popular song over the next four years
  15. Nah, cheaper and more practical to move to Antarctica.
  16. Matt Gaetz as attorney general is definitively... a choice.
  17. Can't think of anything more efficient than creating a department on government efficiency and nominating not one but two people to lead it. This has really strong "giving the two most annoying people you know busywork" energy
  18. It's not just some dog, Babydog is an icon of West Virginian politics!
  19. More concerning anti-dog discrimination: Babygirl (R-WV) has been banned from the Senate. https://www.axios.com/2024/11/12/babydog-jim-justice-senate-floor
  20. Kristi Noem has been nominated as Secretary of Homeland Security. As someone who pretends to be a dog on the Internet I am scared.
  21. I'm originally from Eastern Canada, and before moving to Washington I lived seven years in Texas. I do not have any explaination for Pornhub search popularities. I'm not vanilla enough to be "with it", so to speak. If anything I'm a bit surprised to see Transgender be this relatively high in Washington, normally on that kind of map you see it more in the South where it's more "transgressive". In Western Washington, anyway, being trans or otherwise gender noncomforming isn't something that people generally make a big deal out of.
  22. Unrelated, but I don't feel all that bad about the extend to which I predicted this election wrong. It turns out I live and vote in the only state that went more for Harris than for Biden. So I did, in fact, have a pretty good pulse on the public opinion in my state. It's just that Washington state was moving one way and the rest of the country was moving the opposite direction.
  23. This reminds me that I've actually not heard anything from Rachelle Maddow since she made a podcast series about Spiro Agnew last year. I've actualy not even heard what her take on the election is. Millenial and Gen Z liberals are pretty disconnected from what goes on on cable news tbh. Of all the mainstream media figures John Oliver probably has the best pulse on what the left of center Millenials think and feel, based on my experience with a *lot* of left leaning Millenials (I don't know all that many Gen Zers persoanlly so less comfortable commenting on them).
  24. I do not. I have no clue what part of the left you're looking at right now, but as someone who leans left I don't recognize anybody I know in what you're saying. People are very much in wound licking and internal recrimination mode, there is no apetite to fight at the moment, and there likely won't until Trump oversteps on something (which every president inevitably does). The mood on the left is very, very different than it was in 2016 and for some reason it doesn't seem like the right is picking up on it at all. There is genuinely not a lot of crying is goign on this time, sorry to dissapoint. You can obviously find it if you want, bit country and whatnot, but if you're trying to get a pulse on how people on the left are feeling chasing the few people who are crying isn't going to help you.
  25. Have you considered that you might not be getting a very representative view of what's going on from those accounts? I spend more time that is healthy on TikTok and I've seen zero election denialism (either from the right or the left)
