Honestly funny how great the mixed relay is in short track (even though on paper it shouldn’t have worked) while it’s a complete dumpster fire in long track. (I think it being a much shorter distance than the regular relay also helps it have it’s own personality compared to the regular relay)

The women’s team pursuit in particular should be longer. Six laps is way too short.

Yes, though normally that NOC would return five quotas. There is an entry time for all events too.

Relays just don’t work well in long track. The ISU already has a good team format with the team sprint and team pursuit and should just focus on that.

They need to lay down a 3:29.high at sea level to qualify by time. Qualifying by points is not possible.

Not sure if he's pre-selected but as far as getting NOC quotas for the Olympics last season's results are irelevant. Looks like Howe's poor form is going to cost Canada one quota in both the 1000m and the 1500m. (Though it might not be that big of a deal, it won't affect Canada's overall quota - they just really need to qualify for the TP and for Bloemen to qualify for the 10k in order to get 8 men's quotas - and there is a decent chance Canada will get a third quota come game time in the 1000m, too early to say about the 1500m)

Go check Wikipedia, just updated the men's 1000m standings (Haven't updated the Women's rankings yet because the world cup ranking isn't accurate yet because it doesn't reflect a DQ that happened)

He could not race a single time for the rest of the world cups and he still would have a 500m quota.

Given his form I am less than optimistic. Unless he's nursing an injury or illness that will get better during the break.

I mean, they have pretty much the exact same status as (constituent country within an independent country that does compete in the Olympics) so I would say no.
