  1. and are going to overtime! The quality of women's hockey bellow the big teams is definitively improving and providing some entertaining games, the past two Olympics has really justified expanding to ten teams.
  2. Definitively feeling better about team Canada than I did yesterday xD
  3. Glad it wasn't fourth xD Lamarche is definitively looking promissing for the next quad (a medal in the 1500m here is a lot to ask but I guess it's possible).
  4. Great result for her, very happy with fifth.
  5. Boooooo Jake Paul has an Olympic gold medal in his household
  6. Susko ninth and Ellis 14th after the first run of the women’s luge. Really impressive debut Olympic run by Susko.
  7. Franzoni and Sala would have gotten silver
  8. And where did the BBC commentator get that information from?
  9. This might be the most satisfying game of American Football that was ever played.
  10. They probably figure this maximizes their odds of winning gold. And maybe of sweeping as well.
  11. Big congrats to Amber Glenn on being the first openly pansexual Olympic gold medalist :D (and also, as a former Texan, and forever a Texan really, always nice to see someone from the DFW doing well)
  12. I hope too. Not optimistic at all for their medal chances but it would suck for Deanna and Max to make it this far and not get to compete.
  13. Deanna being injured also probably cost Japan gold / allowed the US to win gold. Really when it’s that close it comes down to the tiniest thing.
  14. Brave performance by Sato, really amazing performance by five of the seven Japanese skaters.
  15. Okay Gogolev is the third good performance today. He won’t medal individually but it‘s so nice to see him skate well on Olympic ice.
  16. What an electric way to reach that milestone. That’s a bronze medal that feels more like a gold medal.
  17. Extremely good showing by the team here. Realistically don’t think they could have done any better. Very happy for Rizzo to have this moment.
  18. Again, my dislike of the format is not due to the results this year (or any other year, I still vocally disliked the format in 2018 :P ) Japan should, in fact, not be competitive at all given how weak their ice dance team is.
  19. I like the idea of the team event in figure skating, I hate the format (which I have been very consistent about from the time it was announced). Just ridiculous to base it on placement points.
  20. Both Canadians miss out on the women's snowboard big air final. What a shit day, the best performance was Xavier McKeever finishing 13th in the skiathlon (which was amazing!). Everything else was shit. Edit: actually, Arnaud Gaudet making the quarterfinals in the PGS was a good result as well. Hopefully he gets a chance to compete again in 2030.
  21. Sadly, we failed the Japanese team I fear
