    No, Lake Placid won the bid to be the back-up host over St Moritz and Igls. I don’t believe any other track expressed interest.

    So… second coup attempt this week in South Korea, apparently. President Yoon is basically guaranteed to be impeached and removed from office unless the military intervenes.

    Really no sport where the world record means less. Don't they record the athlete's bodyweight before every competition? One would think it would be trivial to re-create the world record for each new weight class retroactively.

    Not surprising at this point (both because there hasn't been any noise that they were back in training and because of friction between them), but Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron have officially retired.
