  1. And amazingly the two favourites haven’t pulled out a run yet
  2. The most underscored Olympic champion (with apologies to Kingsbury) goes into fourth. Japan 1-2-3-4 atm :O
  3. No the reason is that the ice can degrade more in skeleton and bobsleigh than in luge so this helps the leaders.
  4. The level of riding in snowboarding half-pipe has gotten truly ridiculous.
  5. Quote from Dandjinou on the 1000m: Ça allait si bien. "It was going so well. It was going really well. I had a great race. Sometimes, we can be mad at ourselves because we didn't have a good race, but I think I put myself in the best position to win. I slipped with a lap and a half to go. It was very costly in such a high calibre final. I lost all my speed. It was very difficult to catch up. I tried to salvage a result, to keep my second place, but they were coming so fast on the outside." So it sounds like he had a slip (glissé pretty unambiguously meaning a slip in the literal and not figurative sense of the word). He also said he feels he feels he showed his opponents that he won't lose the upcoming races unless he makes a mistake (so nice to see the swagger is still there, at least rhetorically)
  6. Joke's on y'all, can't get unlucky because we expect to win no medals tomorrow!
  7. Kinda depressing to think that we had more gold medal chances today than between now and Tuesday.
  8. Actually at this point I'm wondering if will win a gold medal before I leave for Italy (on Tuesday night).
  9. Our next medal chance is the very last event on Saturday night, the men's 1500m in short track. God help us. I genuinely think it's more likely than not that Canada has no golds by the end of the week-end, and I don't think that's even particularely pessimistic at this point.
  10. Looking ahead to tomorrow, Canada has zero (0) realistic medal chances. Stephen Gogolev is unironically our best shot at a medal tomorrow.
  11. I mean, were we really expecting there was any chance Dandjinou would win this?
  12. At this point I actually think Canada might get a goose egg for golds.
  13. I'm so mad I posted in the wrong thread xD
  14. This is worse than I expected it possibly could be
  15. Having TjB in 11th on your predictions hurts but is also more or less what I expect.
  16. The long wait continues (though based on form today there was no way Sarault or Boutin were winning this without some chaos )
  17. First time I've seen something like that watching short track xD
