  1. I`m a traditionalist and I like alpine skiing competitions in the morning hours, illuminated by the sun In ski jumping this is practically non-existentthis in contrast the early 21st century (It's nice that at least there's Planica at the end of every season). There are also traditional competitions under artificial lights, like in Schladming or Madonna di Campiglio. There's no need to do the same thing everywhere as in ski jumping. Alpine skiing finals are rarely super exciting, because usually everything is clear and the skiers are tired from the long season. Finals were often canceled, so this year it was okay for me. If someone wanted a spectacle, that's what the Olympics Games or the World Cup in Kitzbuchel.
  2. If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.

  4. Only Fabbri from Italy has disappointed and that's a bit concerning... In 3 of the last 4 major events (OG and 2x Indoor World Champ), he's performed significantly worse than he did on the entire season – he took bronze at the 2025 World Championships, but his result was also nothing special. His performance today is completely incomprehensible (

  7. Vittozzi finally in good form on skies at the end of the season + probably good equipment. Italy is in 4th place in the women's Nations Cup ahead of Germany... In 10-15 years before, this situation was unimaginable In the men's competition, Italy is in 5th place and Germany is in 4th place- we could say that we are currently 4/5th forces in biathlon on pair with Germany: better are: France, Norway and Sweden.
  8. Italian curling has unfortunately taken a significant step back since 2024 and the change of head coach in that time. Only a medal in the mixed doubles at the Olympics saved this season. It's time for a change, and that's already happening with the men's team.

  10. That's what I read on an Italian ski forum - he had been training with the Italian team for some time: https://www.fantaski.it/forum/topic.asp?topic_id=44261&whichpage=2
  11. Do you have any official information? Sablikova and Takagi were officially said goodbye in Heerenveen, but Lollobirigida wasn't.
  12. Alpine Skiing: Joana Haehlen Clara Direz Ilka Stuhec Anna Bucik Jogan Christina Ager Simon Maurberger Nils Hintermann Adrien Theaux Romed Baumann/ Henrik von Appen
  13. It's a shame there's no Olympic qualification for Europe here... Italy is by far the best European team with this lineup from this tournament, and at the European Championships we lost to the Netherlands in the final. Hopefully, we can maintain this current lineup until the Olympic qualification.
  14. Slovakia? Is Slovakia more pro-Russian than the Czech Republic as a country? Why?
  15. For me they gave Canada the gold in the relay in exchange for a 1000-meter dsq gold for Dandjinou, that's how I see it. It was a battle between Kor and Can on 2 of this case. It's hard to say why that last dsq for Kor was in relay? Of course, Italy win bronze thanks for that, but that's not really important. It would have been better if the referees had just stayed out of the results and left it as it was decided for fight on the ice.
  16. In my opinion the Italian team has been playing above expectations since last year after several years of decline. Last year, we advanced to the first division at the European Championships and now they're playing very close matches against the strong India and Scotland. We a little miss a potential to do more – we are only 18th in the world rankings. Our men's team's performance in this sport is much weaker.
  17. We will need a lot od changes in our staff after this season and I hope our federation will have the money for that`s. Unfortunately, your staff and ski services blew almost the entire Olympics and now we're still in the same situations. Due to their terrible form, we won 1/2 fewer medals than we actually did. Our team has skis on par with Moldova or Kazakhstan – shame!
  19. Secondo me, Campagna dovrebbe andarsene prima.
  23. During Euro 2016, there was also a scandal about Ukraine wearing T-shirts with a map of Ukraine with Crimea?
