  1. In the autumn there will be 3x missed World Cups in a row for us and we can dissolve this entire federation, league, and clubs where, for example, no one Italian plays in the first team in Milan
  2. There is a problem with this sport in Italy, becouse in the 50 km classic today the best is still the 35-year-old Pellegrino... Where is the rest? Why is Graz so irregular, why was de Fabiani talent wasted? There are many such questions. And the fact that Norway and its dominance among men is destroying this sport is another matter. They are doing the same thing that the Norwegian women used to do under Bjoergen and Johaug domination some years ago and Klaebo has even become an improved version of Bjoergen... Bjoergen has never dominated sprints with such ease. And then you can't be surprised that Russia will say that without them there is no this sport and no serious rivality and many people will believe them: many people in Italy, for example.
  3. If Italy ends with only 5 spots, it will be terrible for us. We will have to choose between sprint and relay. Even in Beijing we had 6 skiers.
  4. Malago is in IOC and should be able to get things done. I don't know why he's there at all? I'm worried about our regression in snowboardcross... Is it the same staff with alpine?
  5. Thanks to Malago that he couldn't force in IOC for this competition to be at the Olympics, instead of a team event in snowboardcross. If it were in Russia or the USA, they would add the competitions they wanted.
  6. I don't know why Pellegrino gave up the team sprint yesterday, since he didn't even fight Valnes today. Unfortunately, these 4th places are cursed for us this season in all sports.
  7. Pellegrino skipped the team sprint today to fight tomorrow for 3rd place in the general classification with Valnes. I hope that the Italian team is also monitoring the situation in the Nations Cup and this was also planned in this scenario.
  8. It`s close to Idaho?
  9. hckošice Will Vlhova return for another season? https://www.oasport.it/2025/03/prosegue-il-calvario-di-petra-vlhova-seconda-operazione-al-ginocchio-per-la-slovacca/
  10. Come potete vedere, la Svizzera non ci perseguita solo in inverno
  11. Purtroppo questi non sono eventi olimpici
  12. Here we have a good team and out staff have a goog job, similar to speed skating. It's a pity that in snowboardcross, everything is at the bottom, except for Moioli, because there is a team event in the Olympic program and in snowboard alpine - not.
  13. Bormolini has consistently failed at major events since 2023: he dominates the World Cup, then wins the World Championship qualifications, but is quickly eliminated in the knockout phase. I think this is good information material before the Olympics next year. Fortunately, in alpine snowboarding, Italy has a very strong and deep squad, and even the poorly performing Bormolini is effectively replaced by other colleagues. But let's not make it so sweet, the women's team from Italy is very average and mediocre. What's worse, the Italians, as the host, were not able to force the IOC to add another 2 events - a parallel slalom to the Olympic program (which Russia can do in Sochi 2014), or team competitions, which is why it`s really only 1 event at the Olympics, where we have 6-7 great snowboarder.
  14. Switzerland organizes this World Championships and wins gold medals and I understand that. They spend a lot of money but win gold medals. If they organized the Winter Olympic Games, they probably would win a huge number of medals, including gold. Only in such a case I`m on yes of organizing the Games. If we are to organize an event like in Turin 2006 and win fewer medals than 4 years earlier in 2002, then there can be someone more professional who do it.
  15. I`m very happy that we are making progress in freestyle, but if it doesn`t translate into medals in Olympic competitions, I will remain skeptical about these results. I will wait for the women's and men's Big Air, if there are no medals there I will not have any expectations for this sport in Cortina.
  16. This is non- Olympics event, so so I'm not very interested about it. For me much more important is the team event in snowboardcross, where apart from Moioli we don`t count at all this season.
  18. I mean the total number of medals: we are currently at the level of 12 medals + maybe we will get to another 1-2 (Tabanelli in Big Air and Figure Skating), but it is still the maximum level of Salt Lake City 2002: 14 medals, where there was much less competition than now. Yes, it`s definietly better than in that dark period: 2010-2014, but it isn`t a any revelation. For me, 15 medals, it should be the minimum and even that will not be. I just think that we deserve more, that's all.
  19. This is definitely a country that knows what it wants and how to achieve it, and it doesn't need to organize the Winter Olympics to do it... When was the last time they organized one?
  20. No medals today for Italy and I`m not surprised. I don`t believe that we will suddenly become a super power in freestyle. It is very naive. At the right moment Switzerland or Canada will always be better. The whole winter season for us is weak - most likely we will not even win those 15 medals, at all. Speed skating and Brignone saved us this season, but it's not enough. There are too many failures, 4/5 places and missed opportunities. As a future organizer of the Olympic Games, it looks weak to me. I don't see any progress from 2018 or 2022, and that's probably how it should be? After today's 4th place for Tabanelli, we now have 16x 4/5th places in Olympic events this winter season and it's not a coincidence, because it was the same in the summer. This requires analysis, but there is not much time left - I doubt that anything can be changed in less than 1 year.
  21. I mean, if in such a lottery competition you count on only 1 person, your chances are very small. It's the same in snowboardcross, where for 10 years there's been one Moioli in women's and nothing. The opposite is snowboard alpine men, where we have 4-5 candidates for the podium in giant slalom and someone always surprises: if not Bormolini, then Fischnaller etc.
  22. That's why I don't get excited about the Italians' successes in the World Cup, because then the World Championships come and we're left with nothing - for years there's been one Deromedis and that's it.
