What amazes me about our rugby XV is that the years pass and the players don't get one bit smarter. They live making dumb penalties and are tactically very inept (play narrow when they should play wide and viceversa). Our sevens team players have absurd rugby IQ compared to them. Probably a coaching issue at grassroots levels.

Last two times played a semifinal the match was basically over after 20 minutes. I don't see any reason to think it won't be like that this time as well.

Lmao only 4 of the 10 biggest markets will have live tv broadcast if I understood correctly. I know this is 2023 and there's streaming and bla bla but this just shows the decadence of the event. I think SA and CAC games have more of a future ahead compared to PAG...

My last estimate of gold medal chances for Someone else will surely point out if I missed some other good chance for a gold. I'm pretty sure there'll be at least one gold not listed here but I opted to not list potential big upsets. Overall, I expect between 15 and 22 golds.

I believe it should be like 5% of the football WC ratings and only for knockout games. The biggest ratings were back in 2007, that edition was crazy popular here. Even a Boca-River game got rescheduled to a later time of the day so people could watch a quarterfinal game.

Only Africa is a problem in that regard. Every other continent can perfectly qualify at least one even with the reductions I proposed cuz it would still be 24 quotas for each single sculls event and 33 for ILCA, it's still quite a lot relative to the short depth of these sports. You can also perfectly keep the universality and continental quotas. The only people missing the olympics will be average athletes from middle and some big nations, not a big loss.

Assuming we don't want to drop any sports or disciplines there are events that IMO could see some cuts in quotas: the marathons (10 each), single scull rowing (E/F finals), single dinghy Sailing (10 each), every Judo category (down to 16), 10m rifle (5 each), the road races (just 5 each, not asking much).

Neither should be the men's team barring some major revamp of the squad. They may not even qualify.

You understood well, it's just that the title is ambiguous: it says "you will add if your country hosts" (which could be interpreted as if you were personally in charge of the decision) when I think the intention was to say "what sports do you think your country would add if they were to host".
