    Why is this speech "historic"? What is "total lockdown"? nobody working + frontiers/airports closed? I suppose excluding police/hospitals.

    Nothing All sport channels just have boring debate shows where they talk about the suspensions and other programs that waste time showing old goals of any sort (all goals of x player, all goals behind the midfield line in the last 20 years, etc...). I don't have to work for the next 2 weeks so I guess I'll just spend time reading or playing video games.

    Any international sport event in Argentina is suspended for the whole month. This includes a bunch of bmx and mtb competitions, fencing World cup, swimming south americans, boxing OQT, probably the football World cup qualifiers... Basically the only thing that will keep going on are the national leagues.

    Because the objective is obviously to symbolize "gender parity". You can't have that with an uneven number like 3 (unless you happen to have an hermaphrodite or something). And I think it gets a bit difficult to hold a flag pole while walking with more than 3 people.

    As far as I understand hand sanitizer is anti-bacterial and we are dealing with a virus, so I don't think it would have any effect?

    Still no signs of corona here, but we have 700+ cases of dengue so it balances out?

    American voters in general are too lazy to give much of a thought to politics. Which is understandable given their "system" is very old and too established. Trump, Sanders or any politician are just decoration that can't change much, regardless of how "radical" their speeches may sound. It's the most fake democracy of any first world western country.

    Ofc I don't know how it is in USA, but every jewish person I've met in my country (mostly secular ones) cares way more about local politics than about middle east conflicts. Because, you know, this is the country they were born and live in.

    Why is it unfortunate? Their level is really poor and Argentina/Chile have another hundred of athletes qualified. Better this way than spend money on a olympic tourist.

    Similar to what some others said, I do have a recurrent dream of being an olympian. However, my brain tries hard to keep it realistic and doesn't give me a super fit body, so I'm always a shooter or an archer

    Dutch win the second game so all even... Probably another boring title for them incoming.

    First match out of 2 of the most relevant games of this year's pro league. This olympic year there won't be "final four", just a round robin will decide the champion and I think that such format largely favors these 2 teams: 2 - 0 It is the first time in almost 10 years that the dutch lose a game by more than 1 goal of difference.
