  1. Eh I thought Brazil was going to win the cup.. I still don't know how they lost that game with Belgium, they had just so many chances. France wasn't that good in the groups, they played a fine game with Peru, were unconvincing with Australia, and had a joke game in the last one. About the world cup in itself, I didn't enjoy the large amount of penalties, own goals, etc early on. There were nice knockout games though. It was the opposite of 2014 which had awesome groups but was not great after that.
  2. Our team had 4 players suspended from the semifinal and Maradona had a severe ankle injury. He wouldn't have played in any other circumstance.
  3. Konig is quarantining in a cabin in the mountains, so he only gets the news from a week ago.
  4. There is zero chance 34 year old Messi plays this tournament after the Copa América the month before
  5. I think it lacks "action" compared to those and that's why it isn't so popular. I also think the characters in those other films were more charismatic or memorable. In terms of how the science, psychology, philosophy, etc. themes were used, Arrival was better IMO.
  6. Korea is so good they qualified two teams in men's football.
  7. People. Stop. Quoting. Entire. Long-ass. Posts. To. Reply. With. One-liners. Please. Use. Spoiler. Feature.
  8. ^Is there any matter in which you won't defend the status quo? I guess cutting a good number of retirements funds would help the economy as well...
  9. March 18th, this is old news. Please, google keywords and read recent articles. https://www.lanacion.com.ar/ciencia/coronavirus-cuantos-tests-se-hacen-pais-nid2346312 https://www.clarin.com/sociedad/coronavirus-argentina-provincia-habilito-19-laboratorios-hacer-test_0_QGwwyNpNL.html https://www.infobae.com/coronavirus/2020/03/21/contrarreloj-el-malbran-capacito-a-bioquimicos-de-todo-el-pais-para-que-puedan-realizar-el-test-que-diagnostica-el-coronavirus/
  10. Source and date of this? Provinces have just started tests according to several different media sources I found.
  11. Google "coronavirus malbran". Stop posting nonsense.
  12. Matías Schulz (Handball GK, olympian 2012, 2016) will retire from the sport (both club and NT) at the end of this season (if there is a season to complete). Decision taken after postponement of the games.
  13. Our team sees no benefit from this, most of the best athletes are old. There are some young people that should be better but I don't have any evidence that they would be much better in one year.
  14. The anglo army came out with guns blazing with their statements and Dick Pound. It's obvious the game will be postponed, we don't need them to tell us that it's all about their political sport agenda. Same as in Russia doping case. It's especially funny from UK given they didn't give two shits about the virus like a week ago.
  15. All the wealthy anglophone countries will surely pull out this week. A bit because it's the logical thing to do, of course, but also a bit because they would never miss an opportunity to show off their leverage against the big international sport organizations (IOC, FIFA, etc)
  16. I'll go out and jump off a bridge if they go to 2022. Won't wait for covid to kill me.
  17. So far here 266 infected, 4 deaths. 122 tests per day.
  18. We start total lockdown from here to the end of March. Only vital services and food business remain open. The rest of the people can't leave their house except to go buy goods in nearby stores or in case of an emergency.
  19. I'm sure that 90% of olympic sport international federations would sacrifice whatever calendar they have planned for 2021 in order to have their olympic event contested. Too many of them have total dependence on olympic-related revenue. As for the peak of athletes, it is what it is. There have always been athletes that peaked in the middle of an olympic cycle and didn't do anything in OG. It's luck and it's the law of sport. Qualifications, like Monzanator said, can always be simplified. It's not a big problem.
  20. Just imagine the spanish/italian attitude but with a worse health system. I fear for latin america... Especially for Mexico and Brazil who have governments in denial.
  21. Yeah, we all skipped that Nikki&Paulo episode, nothing to worry about.
  22. Still, I'm waiting for one of these big name athletes to categorically say "I won't participate, end of story." Until that happens, IOC won't take their opinions seriously, sadly.
  23. They should be held in the set dates as long as: - Japan has covid completely under control by that date. - Foreign spectators are banned. Only athletes and their supporting staff should be allowed in the country. With strict health controls before entering the village. - No athletes are affected by big obstacles that difficult their training (e.g. training facilities closed) by mid April. If any of these conditions isn't fulfilled, then I think they should be postponed for 2021. Naturally, the 3rd condition is the most unlikely as things are now.
