  1. Senegal played the world cup. It's the same with Japan and Iran being ranked above Qatar. About beating Colombia, I'm not sure if friendlies still count for points. That being said, I do think the ranking is a bit biased against Asian and African teams in general.
  2. 3 million? Serbia will go bankrupt between this and the women's.
  3. You mean propaganda for or against it? I don't know how it's in Poland but it's always a very divisive issue, so I imagine the debate would never stop regardless if it's legalized or not. There will always be people that will defend either position to death. Anyway, I suspect you meant to tell me you're tired of the propaganda in favor (Sorry in advance if that's not the case).
  4. You say you are not religious and that you don't care enough to protest, yet you are against those things (so, not "neutral"). Why are you against something that doesn't seem to affect you in any way then?
  5. Iran is ok as long as they win the 4 games, even as 2nd placer. But yes, now it's "match point" against. Saudi Arabia survived today with those vital 3 points. UAE would be out already in most other groups, but the ASEAN teams are so close each other in level that still survival is possible.
  6. From a legal point of view, what happened in Bolivia is a coup, can't be called anything else. Even if you think that Morales can't run for another term, his current term was supposed to end in january and he's been forcefully ousted before that term ended. I think what lies in the background of this conflict is the big racial/class fracture of Bolivia, between the white bolivians and the amerindians. With varying degrees and local differences, the same class fracture is present in many countries of the continent. As usual in latin america, "defending democracy" is just an excuse to act. Both sides would be happy to have a dictatorship in place as long as it represents their class interests.
  7. The are more fijians than native americans in the team, they should do a haka
  8. I find funny that now they will vote for president the same man they ejected (with protests as well) to elect Morales. South american lives in a time loop.
  9. Group A is way tougher. Ecuador and Venezuela are coming from succesful U20s in 2017 and 2019 and Colombia is the host. Also I think only 2 teams advance to final round? Brazil and Uruguay will walk the other group. Of course, this assuming everyone takes their best players, which is very unlikely... For example, Lautaro Martínez would be eligible for the argentinian team but i'm sure there's no way he will be allowed to play.
  10. Rsx has been replaced by iFoil for Paris 2024. It's the same class (windsurf) just a different sail provider (you know, technology changes, just like when Mistral was abandoned after 2004). Other changes: -as you may already know Finn is out and will be replaced by a new mixed class (still TBD). -470 Men and women are combined as mixed to make room for a mixed kitesurf event. -Everything else (lasers, 49ers, nacra) stays the same.
  11. I'm still slightly annoyed at Mazembe beating Internacional in 2010 and preventing an awesome Inter-Inter final.
  12. I think the only problem with this system was allowing Japan to take a continental quota (granted, nobody would have expected them to take both Men and Women). Other than that it's fine. I'd rather see Malaysia or Pakistan making it than NZ or Canada who aren't much better and have way less potential to develop the sport than what the former have.
  13. They should win the final first...
  14. That is only a rule of volleyball.
  15. Ok, so, pools for olympic tournament... A Netherlands Germany GB Ireland India South africa B Australia Argentina New Zealand Spain China Japan If RSA withdraw, Korea enters pool B and Japan moves to A.
  16. Meh Canada deserves much more than Korea a place in Tokyo. The progress they have made this year is amazing. Pity it won't be rewarded.
  17. 3 - 0 qualified. Now, I know I'm getting ahead of myself but if no miracle happens today in the two remaining matches, the groups for olympic games should be like this: A Australia Argentina India Spain New Zealand Japan B Belgium Netherlands Germany GB Canada South Africa If RSA withdraw Malaysia takes their place in group B.
  18. 0 - 0 Ireland put lot of pressure on the canadians but they always have big problems to score goals (like at the World Cup where they scored only 1 or 0 in all their matches except one). I think Canada respect Ireland too much, they should really try to attack more tomorrow. Ireland is a better team but imo not THAT much a better team.
  19. Wandi has such a boner for brit music.
  20. I don't even like the song itself that much, but I trust you (?).
  21. because y country is many times one person (in this case Wanderer, Dani) or because us forum veterans know taste of each other at this point.
  22. Me. I couldn't get the fucking tune out of my head for 3 days.
  23. eh... I gave some points to Brazil at least.
