    The athletes completed their first two training sessions today. Nicole Silveira finished 9th and 10th with times not too far from the first-place finisher. Very good; if she maintains this pace, she can dream of a top 8 finish, and who knows, if some of the favorites make mistakes, maybe even a medal.

    No, there's a meme in Brazil from the Summer Olympics since 2020 that Japan always takes our medals. It'll probably be revived again in the men's halfpife.

    Are the medals for these outdoor sports now given out at the competition venue itself? I remember there used to be a kind of plaza where they handed out the medals, or am I mistaken?

    It's a good thing there aren't any Brazilians in this event. I don't know much about winter sports, but I'm sure this must be one of the most unpredictable events of the Olympics.

    I don't think I have great sportsmanship; imagine me being disappointed with the result and someone shoving a camera in my face. Obviously, athletes shouldn't care about that.
