  1. I believe that. And not only Weibo. It is literally everywhere around chinese social media :-D :-D
  2. Flag Bearers for the Czech Republic. Figure skater Michal Březina and the captain of the Czech female ice hockey team Alena Mills.
  3. The recovery from team Paulova/Paul was absolutely incredible ..... They made their mistakes, too, when they let take the 6:3 lead. But the 8th end was something nobody would ever expect .... 6:6 and in the extra end. Tomáš Paul played nice pocket stone, Nedregotten unfortunately played bad stone on the top of red circle they could not even make a take out. So for Skaslien it was a very difficult situation.... they had to take the risk .... Anyways, I am super excited and happy for their victory today. First ever Olympic Game and first victory, moreover, very precious victory against bronze medalists from Pyeongchang. Really great job!!!
  4. Another female ski jumper Jacqueline Siefriedsberger ... She had positive covid test right before the flight and won't make the competitions. Replaced by Sophie Sorschag ....
  5. Ski jumping? I believe Stoch may perform something nice ..... Maryna is also more than descent skier .... You never know :-)
  6. ice hockey player Peter Cehlarik tested positive just yesterday and cannot fly to Beijing yet 😢😢
  7. Yeah, that's not a happy call in my opinion based on his "famous" past ..... Moreover, China has more than enough 1st class figure skating judges. So they could have easily chosen anyone else ....
  8. 18 year old female skicross racer Diana Cholenská is out due to ACL. She firstly wanted to race with it but today she announced final decision that she is not going ......
  9. ski jumper Radek Rýdl was tested positive and will surely not compete on normal hill. He has got the 5th spot right now. ..... Meanwhile ice hockey team has some troubles .... Currently we have 9 players in Beijing and the goalie on the ice is their goalie curator 😅😅. Other 3 nominated goalies have had some troubles with covid tests as being positive/negative/not clear result ..... They should have flown on Tuesday, now, we will be very happy if at least one goalie can fly on Wednesday ....
  10. biathlete Adam Václavík tested positive after last WC .... Today should be his 3rd negative day so I guess earliest he may depart to Beijing on Thursday. Unfortunately he cannot catch mixed relay in which he should have participated with Michal Krcmar.
  11. Nikita Tregubov as a defending silver medalist was tested positive and he may miss the Games
  12. It is not only about WC. You most follow also EC, FIS races, COC ..... All athletes going to OG in "FIS sports" made there descent results. Otherwise they could not collect enough FIS points and qualify 😀
  13. Last minute reallocation for in women's alpine skiing. After refused, accepted and nominated Gabriela Capová, slalom specialist who is already in the Beijing 2022 system and 115th member of Czech Olympic Team in Beijing.
  14. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202201/30/WS61f5ec06a310cdd39bc843bb.html Anybody knows why Geng was not nominated for the Games? Maybe @Vic Liu??
  15. Well, not only the Olympic personel. Found 20 cases amongst Beijing citizens which is the biggest increase in one day within last half an year. Milions of ppl need to do covid tests now.
  16. This is the world we live in ...... Yet competing for another country is still business for you. If you had no money and this opportunity, you would do it, too. African athletes are not very rich, and when I see the high competition in Kenya or Ethiopia, I am not surprised they choose and other countries where they will be the top and will be able to compete at the biggest sport events in the world....... For China naturalizing ice hockey players - male and female, it is a different story though with different circumstances but I also assume that China has offered them conditions which are hard to refuse .... Let's just wish they don't beat hockey team. Both male and female 😅😅. After all, Czech has also one naturalized athlete in Beijing 😎
  17. Yeah, Samkova was boarding her own level. She was the strongest contestant for gold and probably a medal contestand in the mixed team competition with Jan Kubicik. It is a real pity but nothing we can do .... Maybe in Cortina ..... Now, the whole nation wishes her fast and full recovery.
  18. Sure, I am aware of that. I live in this system since the covid outbreak has started. But I am talking about it especially from the perspective of organizers and government...... I know their athletes take the virus very seriously, I can see that on foreign athletes as well. Yet, they test positive. And the chinese athletes also travel the world and participate the world cups ....... Well, as I said. I have faith and believe that the Games will be really great and fair by all means🙂💪
  19. I would rather disagree. I think this has two sides of the coin. 1) With only Chinese players would be like me competing against Aksel Lund Svindal on the ski slope .... So embarrasment and something that IOC would not allow. 2) China wanted their team so IOC and China needed to compromise both...... IOC said you have a bit competitive team, we will let you play..... What better option you have than put up Kunlun together? Players are offered freaking crazy money (as China is not afraid of wasting it) and they are offered dual citizenship, like generally nobody else is allowed to have. Generally, I am not saying it is 100% right thing to do. Of course, if China wanted to be free of these things, they would just easily drop it and gave the place to or depending when they would give it up. But they don't want to lose the face in front of their home crowds ...... So in this case from IOC and China sides, it is a win-win situation. Just IIHF felt a bit weird about it and and felt kinda betrayed, especially Norwegian team as I guess they think that their Olympic spot has been stolen ..... national team so far did not achieve something that team did 4 years ago before the Pyeongchang Olympics. But at least they got a more competitive team ..... Whether it was the right decision? We will in few weeks and it will also an interesting sign for IOC how to handle this situation in the future ....
  20. As a person who has experiences quite enough in journalist world ..... Just wonder why to release such a article. I know there might be some ppl doubting this issue in the world but releasing such kind of article is kinda what they want .... https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202201/29/WS61f52f96a310cdd39bc842e8.html As for me, we can already see some athletes, personnel and other people who tested positive after arriving to Beijing but there has been silence about Chinese athletes so far ..... I don't want to offend of our Chinese members here in totallympics or anywhere else ..... But what if a Chinese athlete or team member gets covid positive? Will it be released into the world of media or social media? Can everybody be sure that Chinese authorities will not just try to cover the positive covid test result and let the athlete compete because he/she is a medal contestant? Me, after living in China for almost 7 years, I have always been hoping for the good changes. And as I see some pre-Olympic feedback from athletes and others, it looks good. I just truly hope everything will stay FAIR PLAY from the Chinese side. Because I honestly wish them to organize successful Olympics in fair play spirit without any cover ups..... Nobody is interested in second Sochi and their "sample swapping game" .... So I truly hope for their fair play Games by all means. Because this is the only way, how they can earn more respect from the entire world. 加油· !!
  21. Honestly surprised to read this article on China Daily ...... About our tiny country when you read nearly nothing about other countries regarding the Olympics .... Anyways, thumbs up :-) https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202201/29/WS61f4d7d5a310cdd39bc841ed.html
  22. @brunamoura Stay strong💪💪💪 We all are with you💪💪💪💪 P.S. I hope for a response from IOC as I think they should get this info and send good wishes to Bruna 💛❤️
