Let me try to discuss with you guys make it clear how many crews will actually qualify from this WCH. Please, correct me whether I made a mistake. MEN K1 1000m - 7 boats K2 500m - 6 boats K4 500m - 10 boats C1 1000m - 5 boats C2 500m - 8 boats WOMEN K1 500m - 7 boats K2 500m - 6 boats K4 500m - 10 boats C1 200m - 5 boats C2 500m - 8 boats And if I may add an additional rule. For example. If a country qualifies K2 crew and nobody on K1 qualifies from any qualification event, the country is allowed to sign up a competitor to K1, but it must be a competitor who is a member of K2 crew. Am I right about these qualification rules for this WCH and generally for signing up more boats?

Well, I hope gets the spot. Sorry, but sometimes I believe that some countries have had enough of success and may leave a spot for someone else this time. Our K4 is struggling basically since Rio 2016, did not even qualify to Tokyo. And I hope this will be different this time. Not saying that Hungary will not qualify but maybe one of the "favorites" may not make it to the final. From our SF either Germany or Spain. We will see. Let's hope for the best of each of our countries. Anyways, still hoping also Czech women's K4 will qualify for the first time in the history, when it took many years and now they have the strongest crew I have ever seen. Let's hope :-)

Agreed. I think they there will be some additional calculations after all the Olympic disciplines finish. Especially K4 and C2. Especially K4 from which will go 10 only from WCH. Still some decisions are really awkward. Such as shorting some distances to 500m. Or men's C1 is 1000m but women's is 200m. And removing K1 200m? Some of the decisions are really not smart at all.,...

Yeah, I watched the replay, dont worry. And now, watching the live broadcasting all the time since the Women's race walk. Lada Vondrova nice PB on 400m and Q to the Olympics. She has really been working hard. I believe Tereza Petržílková will break it, too. Maybe even this season. Will see. So we already got 14 Olympics quotas so far, 3 in athletics.

Damn it. And I could not see it live. Was deep night in China. Around 4 a.m. .... But this is an amazing achievement. I believed they could fight for a medal as having WL time this season. But after the heats, I started to doubt 🧐🧐. But in the final, they generally kept 4th spots the whole race, almost. But what happened to Bol and Hassan, it is hard to believe. There was so much "elbowing" in the second heat of mixed relay. Still waiting whether anyone files a complaint. should not really do that..... They should qualify to the final by time but lets see ...

I know that NOCs that qualify at least one man and one woman for the individual competition get the right to sign up a team for the mixed team competition. But what about events? Are there any events from which NOCs can specifically qualify athletes for only the mixed team competition? I was searching for this and it really seems only NOCs that qualified athletes for individual competitions and plus it at the end of the qualification period, there might come an invitation for an athlete from a country that does not have a quota in a certain event in order to compete possibly in the individual and also mixed team competition, right?

Now, I really hope Tomas Nydrle will earn the quota. World Champion, one time world cup winner, European Games silver medalist and has never been to the Olympic Games. Finished 1st below the line not only once. Btw, in skeet, it was Radek Prokop for Paris. ..... Tomas deserves qualify for the Olympics so much. But if he does not win the quota, I guess Jakub Tomeček will be sent as he earned the quota and wants to make it to the Olympic final as he finished 7th in Tokyo. Good luck buys. Tomas is on the good path, shooting down all 50 but so as other 9 shooters.... Anyways, very interesting how skeet competition is devided into 3 days. Never seen this....

Yeah, well, some people may disagree. Sometimes, especially in shooting may happen quite often when somebody ranks high in world cup or grand prix events, is ranked high in the world ranking but unfortunately does not reach quota during the qualifying events. But I agree with you that this rule is more interesting. But somehow makes me wonder. What if the quota would really be allocated to someone who is out of final but there were several shooters with the same qualification result. Would there be an "Olympic quota shoot-off"?

Wasn't it like before as well? If there are 8 ppl in the final but 5 have already warned the quota, the other 3 will take it plus the next highest ranked in the qualification round. Or was it different in the past? Was it in the way the three spots would be given And the fourth one would be reallocated to a different event or maybe later for someone who would recieve an invitation based on world ranking?

I can that there are many confusions regarding qualification quota allocated to BMX freestyle. Well, I hope that IOC will not only be issuing the OG qualification rules but also could be publishing on their website qualified athletes, country quotas, team quotas, etc. It think it would be very prosperous. They have already been improving delivering relevant information and this would prosper to everyone. Meanwhile, I always try to keep track on wiki and the women's quota has been changed there. But now I wonder 🤔🤔 how possibly can one athlete earn 2 quotas for her country? Isn't that against the rules? Hannah Roberts won WCH 2022 and also 2023 and earned the quota from both events?? What sense does it make? In my opinion the third quota should go to from this champs .... And again, Iveta Miculyčová who won the European Games and got a bronze medal last year, stays the first below the line. 😞

Tak už mame 2. atleta, co splnil přísný limit na OH. Tomáš Staněk vrhl v Domažlicích koulí do vzdálenosti 21,77m a o 27 cm překonal olympijský limit. Zároveň si vylepšil těsně před MS sezónní maximum. Česko tak má nyní již 12 místenek na OH do Paříže. ;-)

Yeah, I know. Kopecký is now 3rd in the line and may be nominated if somebody withdraws from the WCH. I know, it would have to be at least 3 decathletes. He is the lowest but others surely may be nominated. When Bárta would be on a waiting list. Rest would normally compete.

I think athletic association made some stupid decisions not take take some athletes. Many who who are "under line" in the world ranking have got wild card invitation and they refused despite they keep performing well and they also did not nominate some who are in the ranking. Tereza Hrochová - marathon Dorota Skřivanová - heptathlon Filip Šnejdr - 800 m Filip Sasínek - 1.500 m Vít Hlaváč - 35km walk Marek Bárta - discus throw - 2nd below the line Ondřej Kopecký - Decathlon - third below the line. Those I did not write anything are not called in by CAS cause they did not perform what "CAS wanted" ..... Such bullshit. Why not to give them the chance if they are in the ranking? WCH can also give them a huge amount of points to the ranking for Paris 2024. I don't really get it ....

In this scenario, should have qualified 2 athletes and the quota should have gone to the medalists.....
