    Its best asian team plus top 3 that qualify. Meaning Canada needs to beat 2 of 3 Asian teams (the result they had at the World Cup, plus our best player who missed the continental qualifer is back too)

    Countries that earned a quota at the world championships cannot earn another quota here. However Canada will be allowed to qualify a team at the final qualification event in June.

    Oh wow! I thought you wrote earlier he is out (lol). Now two Canadian men have qualified for Rio.

    Canada will only have one male wrestler in Rio... Not a good sign considering everyone on the team is 30+ besides Gill! On thr other hand all 6 women have a chance to win a medal on any given day (but 1 or 2 would be nice)

    Diving is very specialized. You don't see athletes from.smaller countries competing. Taekwondo on the other hand is a sport a lot of these countries can be competetive in (Afgahnistan, Gabon, Mali etc)

    Garcia lost to Romania in Mongolia, and Romania lost to Slovenia. So it will be tough for him to qualify. Hopefully one of tagziev/gill/pineda qualify (or more)

    Yea with the Ioc seeminingly moving towarda a gender neutral event (for.ez canoeing and rowing will have same amount of events in 2020) the pressure will be on sports like wrestling to follow suit. However for ex. Synchro is only for women so kinda hypocritical if you ask me...
