  4. After Day 1 of competition at the Canada Games, 4 provinces on the medal table. Only 2 medal sets were awarded (both in speed skating)

  9. https://www.fis-ski.com/en/international-ski-federation/news-multimedia/news/fis-alpine-junior-world-championships-to-begin-in-val-di-fassa-ita Who writes releases for the FIS? Besides the grammatical errors, spacing issues and contradicting info (says 54 countries competing in the first paragraph, and later says 56, so which one is it?), the article lists "Taiwan". If the Chinese Taipei delegation sees that, there will be a huge problem (trust me, I have first hand experience with that lol).
  10. Just came across this: Canada's last boxing medalist (from Atlanta 1996) David Defiagbon died in November.
  11. Countries by team sport 16 15 14 10 10 10 9 8 4 4 3 3 3 3 2 2 2 2 1 1 1 *21 Countries have qualified a team; just over half of the participating countries. *Note I did not include 3x3 basketball *Spots left to be filled: One team from CONCACAF in the men's and women's competition. Handball has one spot to be filed in each event. Rugby sevens needs to fill one per gender from South America. In volleyball, 3 spots left to be filled, 2 in men and one in women's. 9 team spots left to be qualified.
  12. The Canada games acts as a springgboard to the bigger things... A lot of Canada's stars competed there.
  13. New short track power?
  14. Sad, hopefully the situation improves for Croatia. Still remember watching Janica Kostelic dominate in 2002!
  15. Did Croatia decide not to send a second woman or they aren't good enough?
  16. At least one Slo makes it to the next round!
  17. And Korea last in the men's rankings is a surprise too
  18. Were they complaining when Russians got caught for doping ?
  19. Badminton update Hopefully hangs on for the 4 quotas.
  20. Surfing Quotas
