  1. I agree with many of you who say that this sport needs to change its rules regarding the horse riding segment. It's quite unfair as it is now, and today was no exception, with two of the best athletes in competition losing because of a draw. As for Vega, I'm happy she got a good horse and that she improved her final placing in the combined event. Still her fencing needs to improve if she hopes to be a competitor for the podium.
  2. I know, I'm not questioning your guy's merit, after all he really gave it for that medal. I'm just sad becaus eI'd love to see another medal for Bulgaria in Rio.
  3. With only the combined event left, Germany Schoneborn is out of contention for the medals Her, along Asadauskaite from Lithuania and 4 others were eliminated in the Equestrian portion. The duel for the Olympic title will most likely be between Nowacka and Clouvel, while the fight for the third position (currently hold by McCann , who also has a chance for silver) will be also intense.
  4. Congratulations to Slovakia. Very deserved for Matej Toth!
  5. Silver for Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez First ever medal by a Mexican walker in the Olympics She's a true (THE true) champion
  6. I'm so happy for both Carolina and Sindhu! May the best of them win.
  7. Well they deservedly did so, they are a fantastic pair to watch. Even if I feel bad for the Brazilian girls, congrats Germany
  8. Well @heywoodu you didn't win a medal in Men's 200m but Brouwer and Meeuwsen just get in the podium in this discipline!
  9. Well, if Bolt wasn't the biggest legend of athletics, this will do it. I'm more happy for De Grasse second medal (a silver) and Lemaitre's bronze
  10. Woohoo and its Gold for Jordan's Ahmad Abughaush
  11. She hasn't make it official, but most probably. I didn't knew Benfeito and Fillion were retiring too. If that's so, there will be a void to fill in platform, all 3 were fantastic competitors and if the judges weren't so hopelessly in love with the Chinese, they could have achieved more medals.
  12. Oh my Eaton just one point short of breaking Olympic Record.
  13. Well, no surprises in today's women final, Joens vs Calvo, probably a "classic" in this sport. On the other hand, I'm very happy for the Iranian and Egyptian competitors winning bronze medals, showing that in this sport you must give everything you have until the last round. In men's event, there's no excuse for Gutierrez being defeated in his first combat; he was supremely arrogant and thought he had the pass to fight the Spaniard, so I'm glad that kind of athlete gets what he deserves. On another subject, I'm very impressed by the guy from Jordan, he has been performing excellent so I'll be rooting for him to be on top of the podium.
  14. She performed great, very consistent. I'm happy that in the end, at least one of the Fab Four could show their excellent level. On another subject, I'm happy with Paola Espinosa's performance in the final. She didn't give up like the others and her 4th place is good, although a medal would have been better for her goodbye from competition.
  15. I'm so happy for Argentina Congratulations on this title and your third Gold medal of this Games

  19. And as I expected, another 5th place today! Wow, Navarro didn't do anything until the last round, what was he expecting
  20. Congratulations for your first medal of the games.
  21. Wow. once more on the line of a medal and they decide to throw the match away. What a lack of determination by Manjarrez. Anyway congrats to the Thai girl!
