  1. Good move to clear some cap space. Now, let’s sign Zadorov, Joshua, and one of Necas/Guentzel (Myers is taking a pay cut for the team, Lindholm is probably gone unfortunately)
  2. Katzberg has mentioned that he’s pretty heavy into training, which makes his 82.60m throw even more impressive
  3. Jillian Weir will compete at a meet this weekend to try and improve her Road To Paris ranking. https://www.instagram.com/stories/jillianweir/3399385051697409464?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=OGI0a3I1d3NuNjR0
  4. Unfortunately, only through your time.
  5. Elaine Thompson-Herah (athletics) Reigning Olympic Champion in the women’s 100m and 200m. Small achilles tendon tear. https://x.com/TrackGazette/status/1806123081670258964
  6. Quite unlikely, there’s probably quite a few names that would be above her with that time.
  7. 82.60m for Ethan Katzberg in men’s hammer throw at the Canadian Olympic Trials Second farthest throw this year behind his 84.18m in Nairobi.
  8. They’re 15th and 18th in the rankings, and 32 go to the Olympics, so yup.
  9. Ethan Katzberg 80.51m for his 3rd championship record in a row in the men’s hammer throw final
  10. Doesn’t look like we’ll be sending a 2nd women’s hammer thrower to the Olympics 5 rounds in, and both Weir and Butler need around 71m at worst. Neither are anywhere near that mark.
  11. 75.05m for Camryn Rogers in the 2nd round of the women’s hammer throw final! 5th time over 75m this season, in 6 competitions!
  12. Officially confirmed. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8sd8lfpK4B/?igsh=MWptbnd4b3FzOHgwNA==
  13. Vancouver Canucks have resigned Teddy Blueger!! $1.8m AAV/2 years. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8seN74NVjA/?igsh=MXBwZXVjMGtiOHZ6eg== @Topicmaster1010 Also…

  15. I know. But having Egypt in your group pretty much guarantees you 3 points, which is a BIG boost towards your chances of making it towards the quarterfinals. I think 1 more point should do it.
  16. Serbia just beat us in 4, a couple of weeks ago… I’m not convinced, but Canada has advanced to the quarterfinals at the last two Olympics, hopefully we can do it again.
  17. You’re all going to get through to the quarterfinals either way though, because you have in your group Now, I wouldn’t underestimate them (played really well at the Olympic Qualifiers), but they’re by far the weakest team in the tournament. As far as goes, glad we didn’t get but unfortunately we drew the second toughest teams (from my/Canada’s perspective) in all groups, so not much of an improvement I would’ve been fine any one of Japan, Brazil, US, Argentina, or Egypt, but instead we get none.
  18. Canadian Olympic Trials Schedule (PST/EST) (I’ll do the rest tomorrow) Decathlon start lists aren’t out yet, but Warner will be competing in at least two events. Also, Staehli and Ellenwood are still on the entry lists, but that must be a mistake. Any notable youth athletes I should keep an eye out for, that I’m missing? Obviously they won’t qualify for Paris, but it’ll be good to keep my eye on names for the future. 19. @intoronto am I missing something, or is Matthew Uliana not competing? He’s our best youth prospect in men’s hammer throw, was over 70m last year.
