  1. 50.19 for Caleb Dressel in the men’s 100m butterfly at the US Olympic Trials. Right now I’d have him as the favourite for gold, even with Liendo’s 50.06 at the Canadian Olympic Trials.
  2. Kyle Garland (decathlon) Withdrew midway through the decathlon at the US Olympic Trials, due to an apparent ankle injury. https://www.inquirer.com/sports/kyle-garland-olympic-trials-decathlon-injury-20240622.html
  3. I don’t personally, I believe Whaley has produced better results on the WC stage.
  4. Motonet GP Kuortane - Kourtane, Finland June 22, 2024 Full Results Women’s 100m Hurdles Reetta Hurske Lotta Harala
  5. Is there any chance for Emma or not anymore?
  6. Men’s street Olympic team is also set. Matt Berger will make his 2nd Olympic appearance, while Ryan Decenzo and Cordano Russell will be making their Olympic debuts!
  7. Well I’d give a slight edge to Arevana/Droguett, but yeah pretty even.
  8. NORCECA Quarterfinals Men v. v. v. v. Women v. v. v. v.
  9. As expected, v. for the men’s CSV quota
  10. v. for the men’s CAVB quota, and v. for the women’s CAVB quota
  11. CAV Semifinals Men v. v. go !! Women v. v. go !!
  12. Quarterfinals v. v. v. v. We had no chance anyways, but still what a painful loss to
  13. Olympic debut in skateboarding for Thailand!
  14. Not yet…. if Cuba wins against Poland in any fashion, and Serbia loses to Slovenia in any fashion, then Cuba qualifies for Paris.
  15. Actually it probably was my fault Sometimes I post in 15 different threads within a matter of 10 minutes, which leads to some replies not getting seen
  16. 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Yes and No Not gonna elaborate too much, because I know this is a topic where there’s lots of varying opinions, but here’s my thought process. Even with everything that’s going on in Russia, I think that banning athletes just because of where they’re from is unfair (you’re from where you’re from, you can’t control it). Athletes compete for themselves first. On the other hand, if you’re an athlete who supports the war, then yeah nope…
  17. I’ve posted about her before in the athletics thread, surprised no one has seen it
  18. v. for gold, and v. for bronze. Have to admit, didn’t expect to beat given how hot they’ve been I watched both of Italy’s knockout matches, if they can continue playing this good they’re winning gold at Paris.
  19. 1. 0 medals, but maybe we’ll have a chance if all the other athletes get handicaps (shooting at a 50m range for the 10m air pistol*, and at a 100m range for the 50m rifle 3 positions) 2. first (obviously), then … can’t trust to perform at their best given their massive flop in Tokyo (for what it’s worth, I have them finishing in 5th behind France) 3. Well I rarely watch shooting, but I did watch some of the trap events at Tokyo, I’m a huge fan of Alessandra Perlii
  20. Canada defeat Netherlands in 5 to cap off their VNL preliminary campaign. With our 8-4 record, Canada will be the #5 seed for the VNL Quarterfinals, and will take on the winner of Japan-France (match starts in around 1 1/2 hours or so) Edit: Just realized that both teams have only played 10 matches ignore that Not our best match, but we got the win
  21. 30 points for Nimir midway throughout the 4th set
  22. Oilers defeat the Panthers 5-1 to force a game 7.
  23. Panthers might actually blow a 3-0 lead…
  24. PB for Tatiana Aholou in the women’s 100m hurdles! 13.02. Wont make any difference in terms of Olympic qualification, she’s still 0.25 away from the standard.
