    Surprised no one has mentioned this yet (I would’ve done it yesterday when I was watching it, but couldn’t be bothered), but the Celtics defeated the Mavericks in 5 to win their 18th NBA championship. Finals MVP went to Jaylen Brown.

    Bad start too, 9.8 high (would either be an =PB or outright PB) might be possible at Olympic Trials, depending on the conditions. Promising signs for his 200m, he might need to better his 19.62 in order to win one of the minor medals (Lyles is untouchable, should be between him, Tebogo, Bednarek, Hughes, Knighton for silver and bronze)

    Let’s just say that Gracenote has a reputation of not having the most accurate projections I’d be curious to see how many medals (and golds) Netherlands are projected to win on any Dutch Olympic site.

    19 medals for Canada? We could probably get that number without McIntosh 9 golds seems like a fair number (maybe a tad high), I’d be happy with that.

    According to some SwimSwam commentators, Fente Damers looked like he injured his left shoulder while celebrating. Might not be be at the Olympics, which would mean that Wissam-Amazigh Yebba would get to swim the men’s 4x100m freestyle. Edit: Yep, @rafalgorka posted about it.

    Neither is Canada winning 30 medals, and 10 golds, but I don’t see it happening Obviously you would know more about me regarding Dutch Olympic medal prospects, but I’d think that the performances from your athletes throughout the last quad are suggesting it’s highly unlikely to happen (at least according to the other Dutch users on the forum)

    Solid men’s 100m final. Lamont Marcel Jacobs wins in 9.92 (rounding into form right before the Olympics), ahead of his compatriot Chituru Ali in 9.96, and Andre DeGrasse in 10.00 (fastest time for him since September 2021)

    OLYMPIC QUOTA!! Andre DeGrasse 10.00 in the men’s 100m, it’s his best time since the Zurich Diamond League in September 2021! Jerome Blake also with a very decent 10.17.

    Canada defeat Japan in 5 in match 8 of Men’s VNL, to improve to 5-4! Keeps our hopes alive for a VNL Finals appearance. Edit: Also back to #9 in the World Rankings, but more importantly the 3rd pot for the Olympic draw!
