  1. When did I say that? Also, in most of those events, there’s many contenders and Great Britain is far from a lock. You’re essentially pretty much every single British medal chance (and some outside ones too). Judging from recent World Championships and the British Olympic Trials, I could see them winning up to 4 golds, and that’s being generous. 2-3 seems much more likely. If I’d had to guess, Peaty in the 100m breaststroke, men’s 4x200m freestyle relay, and potentially the men’s 50m freestyle. United States is way ahead of the field in the men’s 4x100m medley relay (Dressel, Alexy, Fink, Murphy probably), and China and United States are likely to battle it out in the mixed 4x100m medley relay.
  2. Yup I watched it First time seeing Komenda in action
  3. Sorry but there’s absolutely no chance, and even if it were to happen, you wouldn’t be 3rd in the swimming medal table.
  4. Cameron Brink (3x3 basketball) Was selected to the US squad for the Olympics, but tore her ACL during yesterday’s Sparks game (she’s also a WNBA player) https://www.instagram.com/p/C8aFCfcShQl/?igsh=ZGJwa3Vid3hoY2V4
  5. Well for one, I think US is going to top the medal table based off of Trials results so far, Australia’s men’s squad is a bit of a question mark. 1. Caleb Dressel, Sarah Sjostrom, but mainly Summer McIntosh. 2. McIntosh only wins one Olympic gold in the women’s 400m individual medley (I hope I’m wrong…), Jackl wins silver with a HUGE PB, Haughey wins gold over MOC in the women’s 100m freestyle, a random no name medals in the men’s 200m freestyle, and Walsh doesn’t win gold in the women’s 100m butterfly. I know that’s 5 3. Gold for McIntosh in the women’s 400m individual medley, silver in the women’s 200m individual medley/200m butterfly, and bronze in the women’s 400m freestyle. Bronze for Maggie MacNeil in the women’s 100m butterfly, Kylie Masse in the women’s 100m backstroke, women’s 4x100m medley relay, and silver for Josh Liendo in the men’s 100m butterfly (behind Dressel). 8 medals but only 1 gold.
  6. sweep @rybak
  7. Pascal Dion has retired https://www.instagram.com/p/C8aBQaYJKR9/?igsh=OGIwOGRqN2ZmdWR1
  8. 46.88 for Popovici in the men’s 100m freestyle 3rd fastest mark all-time. I think it’s safe to say that HE’S BACK.
  9. Two more swimmers announced. Hannah Oullette and Clem Pare will be making their Paralympic debuts. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Z7GBwOidC/?igsh=MXRuNXA0cDltd2U3bg==
  10. Fair enough, but that does seem a little conservative. Hope you’re wrong Edit: … didn’t even realize Cavanaugh was on there
  11. Can’t give up a relay medal opportunity if you weren’t even selected in the first place Rebecca Smith will be more than enough to advance to the final, and with MSH’s big schedule it would probably be best to save her for her other events. I’d even put Maggie MacNeil over her for prelims.
  12. Rebecca Smith will probably
  13. Potentially, but it’s not as if she’s rarely been racing it this year. Wouldn’t say it’s due to a packed schedule either, she’d probably not go for the 100m freestyle if that was the case.
  14. Good point. Well MSH has a very busy Olympic schedule lined up, so I’m not sure if she’ll try and complicate it any further. MSH a lock for prelims (and probably finals) for our women’s 4x100m/200m freestyle relays, in addition to the women’s 200m freestyle. She might (and hopefully will) scratch the women’s 100m butterfly, which would give Rebecca Smith an individual swim, but I don’t see her doing prelims for the women’s 4x100m medley relay, Smith should be more than enough to advance to the final. I’m also hoping the women’s 400m individual medley is going to be on her programme, because although she scratched out of it at Olympic Trials, it’s her best and only chance at an individual Olympic medal. With her trajectory, could see her producing a solid PB. Hoping she doesn’t get the OQT in the women’s 100m freestyle, don’t want to see her take on too much at Paris. Fingers crossed for Ruck though at the Mel Zajac. @Topicmaster1010 curious on what you think
  15. Without getting a virus I mean
  16. MSH has OQTs in all of her main events, I think she’s just using the meet to get some racing in. Oleksiak is aiming for the women’s 100m freestyle OQT of 53.61. Edit: I’ll also add that half of the Canadian Olympic contingent will be racing at another meet. Rest are still training.
  17. Didn’t matter in the context of the game, because McDavid scored right after, but unreal save by Matthew Tkachuk here. @hckošice
  18. Oilers survive elimination again, as they defeat the Panthers 5-3 in game 5. Panthers now have a 3-2 series lead.
  19. XIX Reunion Internacional de Athletismo “Villa del Bilbao” - Bilbao, Spain June 18, 2024 Full Results Men’s 100m Jhony Renteria
  20. 57.91 for Katharine Berkoff, likely will be a battle between her and Masse for bronze assuming she makes the Olympic team.
  21. 57.13 REGAN SMITH ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHES MCKEOWN’S WR IN THE WOMEN’S 100M BACKSTROKE AT THE US OLYMPIC TRIALS!! @maestro @dullard @Topicmaster1010
  22. WAIT I JUST REALIZED NBC is available on my TV That means I can watch the US Olympic Swim Trials
  23. WNBA star Cameron Brink suffered a leg injury during today’s Sparks game. She was named to the US Olympic roster for 3x3, and might miss Paris as a result of it. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8YB_wyPUYR/?igsh=dGpqbnBoNWxheHEz
