Breezy Johnson 4th! Speedsters trying to restore some pride!
-
Ortlieb didn't choke like yesterday and gets 5th!

Vlhova lost quite some time with a mistake in the bottom though, there is definitely room for improvement.
Yeah, the speed is obviously higher which took her outside of the line at the second to last turn.

Wiles catches an edge 20 meters before the finish and crashes into the boards. Hopefully no injury!

No rest for Bassino, Vlhova is still to come
Well, today's time is 0,3 faster than yesterday despite virtually no change in the course so Vlhova will have to improve some too. At these speeds she's not as shifty as Bassino due to the weight difference.

I just read Waldner press conference summary, apparently Yanqing stage is at serious risk.
I read in Polish media this morning that the Chinese round has been cancelled outright due to the virus.

Brignone misses out by 0,04! Giant slalom party in Bansko downhill
-
Well, the in-form Suter manages to get within one second and is 4th. Brignone could still take this next!
-
Lara Gut threatened to defend the speedsters' pride but made a big mistake and down in 4th.
-
Delago four seconds slower than Bassino... in a downhill fraud
-
Bassino 0,25 faster than Shiffrin.
Given this track being a GS/SG combo there's every chance Bassino ends up on the podium
-
Haehlen is the first to crash out.
-
Seems like the top girls believe the sun effect will happen today as well and they chose the later bibs (Suter #19, Schmidhofer #17 and Venier #15). Goggia's withdrawal means Bassino jumps into Top 30 and starts with #4!

I'm quite sure even inside China there are worse things causing more deaths.
Whatever happens inside China isn't a global problem though

I mostly find it curious how something like this gets such huge media attention worldwide, while boatloads of way more dangerous diseases are never even mentioned.
Because China gets more attention in the global media than some forgotten African country like Uganda or Congo nobody cares about?

I’m curious as to you guys think it the most important race in the world? I’d say LeMans personally. The other “important” races would be Daytona 24, Daytona 500, Sebring 12, Bathurst 12, Monaco Grand Prix, Indy 500, Isle Of Man TT, Dakar Rally, V8 1000 (forget the name of the track).
Mount Panorama at Bathurst.
The most important single race for me is obviously Indianapolis 500 and I say this as a motor racing fan since 1991

Iga Swiatek beats
Donna Vekic 75 63 and advances to 4th round.
Next up
Anett Kontaveit who surprisingly whooped sixth seed
Belinda Bencic 60 61!

Ford was the big loss. I didn’t know they had plans to pull out. That will hurt the WEC too. Nissan isn’t too much of a loss since they most help privateer teams, and those teams can just find a different manufacturer.
I believe (last I read) that Nissan (and potential Ford) are working on the new Hypercars for the WEC.
Nissan also pulled out of the V8 Supercars in Australia at the end of 2019 so it's a part of a bigger deal. And Ford scaled down on the factory support in V8 some time ago but it's curious to see Chaz Mostert in the GTLM BMW here. He's spend his entire career in V8s as Ford driver including the works Ford Performance team before.

I thought it looked insanely small
. That’s really weird since IMSA is well established now, and the economy isn’t shit. I have no clue why there’s less entries. Hopefully this isn’t a sign to come for LeMans this year.
Ford & Nissan pulled out of the series.

Anna Maka's previous PB was... 72nd
She last raced in World Cup in Antholz 2018.

On the other hand Fialkova sisters both 5 misses each, Kaisa 7 and Charvatova 8!
