  1. Artti Aigro had a fall in Ga-Pa training and will be out 5-6 weeks (MCL strain & foot injury). This will be a race if he makes it to OG...
  2. ahead of in cross country? What year is it?
  3. Yeah, it's slooow again
  4. What's the prefered Women relay line-up? I have no clue how the Matrix works
  5. Krzysztof Ratajski makes the QF for the second time in his career. Littler up next.
  6. I'm not sure how those 4 extra male quotas work. It's basically the only chance for to qualify
  7. 20 nations are qualified on the men's side right now (even without China). Canada is only in bc Boyd-Clowes has resumed his career. There is no nation count limit indeed, I only counted the qualified athletes' nations (20 for men, 16 for women).
  8. Continental Cup points are only optional IF there won't be 50 athletes from 20 nations qualified from the World Cup + Summer GP ranking points (technically 45 + 1 from Italy and the last four places 'prioritised' for nations with only one athlete qualified to make duets possible i.e. Estonia).
  9. No, nothing about Brignone. The lack of info after Vlhova's second surgery probably says more how serious it was (the fact she needed two surgeries was a red flag already).
  10. Polish Eurosport commentator Marcin Szafrański (former athlete) said that from the rumours he's heard there's no chance Vlhova competes in Cortina.
  11. Shiffrin comes from 4th to take another win. 5/5 SL on the season.
  12. First WC points for Carla Mijares Ruf
  13. TVP Sport runs the full sessions live on YT but I guess it's geo-blocked.
  14. Terrible SL course in Semmering. Anyone beyond bib #10 barely stood a chance to post a respectable time. 5.94 secs gap good enough to make Run 2.
  15. Plaisier blew 3 match darts and Ratajski comes back to win!
  16. Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel with a 5th place PB in Semmering GS!
  17. Probably 0% but in 1939 Germans reached the outskirts of Warsaw after only eight days (the border was more to the east than it is now i.e. they had less ground to cover). The ugly truth is NATO would most likely bide their time in response so the entire eastern Poland would be a battle field for a while.
  18. Fortifications could only work for illegal immigrants but not against drones. We're wasting missiles worth millions of euro to shoot down drones worth 10k. It's anyone's guess how quickly Russians would reach Vistula River if the invasion came from two sides (Kaliningrad & Belarus). It would be days and not weeks...
  19. Stalin got Karelian Peninsula and Viborg and that was enough. Land invasion from Finland made no sense 60 yrs ago and makes even less sense in 2020s. Finland isn't that important strategically even when it comes to Baltic Sea. U need to control Danish straits to control the Baltic. Warsaw Pact had an invasion plan of Denmark for this one reason. Likewise Mediterranean Sea was no priority for Stalin. SU wasn't a naval power back in the day.
  20. Russia and Soviet Union follow that tactics for many decades, Stalin became a huge WWII winner because of that. NATO can't really afford a war of attrition or any open war against above par army right now. And Putin knows that. At least the nonsense about nuclear bombs is over. That threat was never going to materialise since Ukraine isn't that important to be casus belli for WWIII.
  21. I know that but Russia is more than Moscow and St. Petersburg. The Asian part is light years behind even former communist bloc like Poland or Czechia - enlisting in the army is really a way to get some money, in the wealthy democracies that wasn't the case since at least 1918
  22. Most of Russia lives in poverty and has gotten used to it. That's what the wealthy democratic countries don't understand...
  23. need to work on the celebrations... or just drop them? Btw, these jerseys suck and I remember Zambia playing in all white with red numbers. At least they have orange on national flag but still...
  24. It's waaaay too expensive & inconvenient. Basically WOG minus the bobsleigh track & indoor arena for figure skating/hockey(which is the easy part of Olympic bid). Just won't happen anytime soon. Winter sports are too facility dependant and the entire alpine skiing requires a separate venue.
  25. had a penalty saved in the first half vs
