Golden State Warriors beat Boston Celtics 4-2 in the NBA Finals. After an upset loss in Game 1 Warriors pretty much dominated from there on and won their 4th title in the last 8 seasons.

As usual the biggest crapshoot that is the water polo prediction contest. It will be a miracle if I don't finish last. Any chance of a 30+ goal difference games?
-
I wonder if they put a new surface at East Rutherford by 2026? This is a terrible pitch there with several injuries in NFL games. I wouldn't want to play in New Jersey for sure.

If only Laura Kenny retired none of this would have happened. But a transgender woman posing a threat to Dame of the Empire? So much for "no unfair advantage"? This will still go sideways. One of these days the "inclusion" nonsense won't be all that important. Let's hope we don't get another Semenya in cycling but your never know.

I see the "lesser" Canadian pair will play the home favorite Menegatti team in the QF?

But they're still living in this delusional myth. Surfing in real life is boring as hell. 30 minutes of waiting for the wave. Yawn. This is a sport that only looks good in highlights. Cross country mass starts are more exciting than surfing tbh. I wonder how long it takes before they realize they're not winning any new fans? Skateboarding was cool with Tony Hawk in the 90s. Not anymore. Adults usually don't watch kids sports unless they are parents of kids taking part. I assume esports is the only way to salvage the new fans. And it's quite a turnaorund since I remember when I was a teenager playing too much video games was seen as detrimental to athletic shape, all that talk about raising a bunch of obese people with eyesight trouble. Fast forward 25 years and it's suddenly an Olympic sport in the making?

US Open will allow Russian & Belarussian players to take part in the tournament. Which leaves Wimbledon all alone and kills the rhetotic that Grand Slams will stand up to the ATP/WTA running the global pro tennis. Not gonna happen.
Victoria Azarenka is a permanent resident of USA, her son has US citizenship since he was born there so it would be extra hard to ban her from playing in any US-based tournaments. Only proves the fact USA cares more about China these days and Biden follows the Trump line of politics with China being the main villain on the global stage.

Tough luck for Peru, this is easily the weakest Australian squad that has qualified for World Cup excluding the 1974 amateurs.
Costa Rica vs New Zealand will be played tomorrow for the last place in Qatar.

Redmayne saves the last penalty and Australia wins 5-4 in PSO.

120th minute and Australia make a GK change for the penalties
-
Into extra time we go. Won't be surprised if this is decided in PSO.
Australia has two shots on goals so far, Peru - zero

Beatriz Haddad Maia becomes the first Brazilian to win WTA title on grass since Maria Bueno in 1968 after beating Alison Riske in three sets in Nottingham.
Also Ekaterina Alexandrova won the Den Bosch title in two sets over Aryna Sabalenka.

Yeah, and the car thief was actually a foreigner so he probably didn't recognize Wlodarczyk to begin with
