:KAZ Kazakhstan wins both C2 quotas, Men's C2 1000 and Women's C2 500

they had a very close race with Japan in MC2-1000, they also beat the favorite Indonesia in the women's race.

two more quotas

Women's K1-500 ==> :KAZ

Men's K2-1000 ==> :CHN

at least China beat Kazakhstan by a hair in the Men's K2 final to prevent team from winning all the quotas today.

the women's K1-500 winner Natalya Sergeyeva is 45 years old ! :facepalm:

And she will compete against the 14 year old from the Cook Islands. That's absolutely wonderful!

This isn't that strange in this event when we had the likes of Josefa Idem, Štěpánka Hilgertová and Birgit Fischer winning medals finishing in the Top6 over 40. She still won't break Josefa Idem's record, who was 47-year-old when she finished 5th.

I see some minor changes in the startlist for tomorrow. China pulled out of both K1 events, I think per rules you can't qualify more than 2 athletes in one discipline. the rules also says one NOC can't win both 200m and 1000m quotas for one discipline.

which means Kazakhstan can't win Men's C1-1000m, Women's C1-200m and Women's K1-200m quotas. even though they are in the start list.

here is the eligible athletes for the remaining events

Men's K1 200: (10) :INA:IRQ:JPN:KAZ:KGZ:KOR:SGP:THA:TPE:UZB

Men's K1 1000: (10) :INA:IRI:IRQ:JPN:KAZ:KGZ:KOR:THA:TPE:UZB

Men's C1 1000: (8-1)  :CHN:INA:IRI:IRQ:THA:TPE:UZB (Not eligible: :KAZ)

Women's K1 200: (9-1) :INA:IRI:JPN:KOR:SGP:THA:TPE:UZB (Not eligible: :KAZ)

Women's C1 200: (6-1)  :INA:IRI:KOR:THA:UZB (Not eligible: :KAZ)
