Tragedy for Mexico only 3 quotas... it will be an uphill battle to qualify in the other events... no chance for the women at the Pan Am Games and only 50/50 with our current men divers

Well, Woo Haram is a double starter, so one of his quotas (presumably from 3 m) will be reallocated.

The qualification isn't for an athlete, but for a NOC, so there can be any other South Korean and he could have won one quota per event, so two quotas in two events. So we should have 12 quotas in both 3 m and 10 m. @hckosice

Okay folks, I added S. Korea to the M 10m Platform

Two excerpts from the Qualification document.  First:

 

"Section B3. Type of Allocation of Quota Places:

The quota place is allocated to the NOC."

 

Second:

 

"Section F. Reallocation of Quota Places

If an athlete who has obtained a quota place in accordance with FINA Rule BL 9.3.8.3.1 has not been entered to the Olympic Games, the quota place shall be reallocated to the next highest placed NOC from the respective event, at the FINA Diving World Cup 2020, not yet qualified "

 

Is it the athlete or the NOC?  So, if Tom Daley of GBR fell ill and couldn't make Tokyo, would it be another diver from GB or the next NOC from the Diving World Cup?
