Men's Football UEFA Under 21 European Championship 2023

Still early days, but I wonder if :ENG performance will be sufficient to encourage the FA and SFA to open dialogue about allowing :GBR team for LA in 2028.

A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y STUNNING AND GAGGING FROM OUR FOOTBALL TEAM. :hyper:

Ukraine moving up to 27 athletes, which is quite shocking because of our football boys, who revenged for our women's basketball team, who failed to qualify by receiving some bullshit scores from our friends from Lietuva and France.

Anyway, it's a first our appearance on OG in football, so Ukraine fully deserved this historical moment. Feeling bad for Georgia, but it's a sport(

Georgia should have beaten Israel as they dominated that match, and that's all there is. Ukraine played fine and this is well-deserved.

it will never happen (in any case, an agreement must be reached by ENG, SCO, WAL and NIR all together) because the smaller unions are too afraid to lose their independence and forced to agree on a GBR team also outside the Olympics.

there's too much money to lose.

when there isn't (women's game), the agreement came quickly and probably will last forever.

Am aware that all home nations would need to reach agreement but it is the 80-20 principle - the Scottish FA is the primary roadblock to Team GB. There is no point in entering discussion with Wales and Northern Ireland without having Scotland onboard.

In all the write ups that I've seen so far about the match, not one has referenced the fact that with that result, the lads would/should have qualified for the Olympics.  Looks like this will be a missed opportunity to open the dialogue around Team GB.

is it too late to qualify the great britain team? frankly it's a real regret to do without good teams like with germany or portugal)
