Some interesting results, from WTA:

 

Venus lost in first match against :KAZ Diyas who today was beaten by :SUI Bencic

 

Magda Linette won her first match this season, against 16yo :USA Montgomery, but lost today to :GBR Konta

 

Iga Świątek easily wins against :CZE Krejcikova 

 

Madison Keys shockingly lost to Ana Konjuh

 

@mrv86 Zarazua beats :JPN Hibino, but today was sadly double bageled by Kerber :( 

 

And from ATP:

 

Sam Querrey reached new low and lost to :TPE Lu who barely plays in these days and is ranked outside Top 1000!! :yikes:

 

:FIN Ruusuvuori beats :ESP talent Alcaraz in three sets

Oh I read about her win yesterday, too bad she couldn't win a point against Kerber, but this should keep her in contention for one of the Continental places at Tokyo.

Yesterday :FIN Ruusuvuori made a upset and defeat :GER Alexander Zverev! :yikes: Also :GBR Cameron Norrie defeats ninth seed :BULGrigor Dimitrov.

 

:POR Joao Sousa wins his first match in ATP main draw tournament since October 2019 against :AUS O'Connell in three tight sets.

 

:CRO Ana Konjuh made a impressive run here and after defeating :USA Madison Keys she beats also :POL Iga Świątek :( Now she will play against :LAT Anastasija Sevastova who didn't played a match today due to :ROU Simona Halep withdrawal (right shoulder injury).

    • This 400IM field is a joke  (besides MSH…)  
    • Marc Marquez with a horror start (saved it nicely though)....turns out it was because right before the start, he took off a tear-off from his visor, threw it away and it ended up under his own bike  
    • That was Friday though, yesterday was better (although a seagull was destroyed by Miller) and today so far has not had any problem at all luckily
