Well a Finnish person says Finnish media is reporting rape (in Finland), so for now I'm trusting that a little more... :p

Amazing bronze medal for the Dutch women after beating China and Russia, both in five sets. Russia even had 4 match points in the third set.

The Dutch girls have made incredible progress in the past two years. I'm curious to see what they can do in Rio.

Great performance by the usa girls  (even witnessed one game live this year)  but overall it just shows that brazil are unbeatable in any volleyball this year

Canada wins group 2 (pretty easily, tbh)!  :CAN

We also secured a second berth in beach volleyball for the men's teams, meaning we join Brazil, the USA and the Netherlands as the only countries to send 2 in each gender!

Good news after basketball and Raonic falling at Wimbledon (still proud of him though!).

Sad to see so many empty seats in Krakow but  that simply had to happen after what our federation did to ticket prices. They probably thought volley fans are so naive they will pay any amount of money to watch a match regardles of circumstances

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.
