Apparently Pavić refuses to play in DC until the national coach resigns.

I don't care about DC at all, but sadly ITF does, meaning that Pavić won't be able to compete in Tokyo if this doesn't change...

There's always Mongolia and Guam to get a game against. I mean, if you take all their single points and combine them, together that's almost a set won! #progress

You're sure they are playing and it's not some kind of walkover?

Yep, in a walkover I guess it would simply be 6-0, 6-0, without any points scored. Points are being scored and stats being registered though, for example 5 of the 108 games played so far have gone to deuce.

Then I guess we won't see these players in the Top 100 anytime soon. :d

    • First, they lost the medal in the short dance, where their performance were also the worst in the season,   Second, since they had a good free dance, with which they won silver and bronze at the World Championships in previous years (with the result from 2023 it would be another silver today), why experiment and invent something new? You don't change what works well - better is the enemy of good,   The facts are that the Italian pair achieved a worse result at the World Championships than at the European Championships and generally had a weak season, and assuming the return of strong Russians, to win a medal they will need to score around 216-217 points, or maybe more.

    • That dance crap, which is a sport of robbery, this year confirmed that it is a mafia. The Italians have dared so much by presenting a programme very different from the classical standards (and I don't like it) and the judges are harshly and rightly beating them up. Fabbri and Guignard have already announced that they will return to classic programmes next year (and magically they will be back on the podium). A discipline decided at the table.     Do you want bet something?

BK Mladá Boleslav (9)  4-3 (1-2; 0-2; 4-3; 3-2 OT; 4-2; 5-6 OT; 3-0)   HC Dynamo Pardubice (3) b. Banes Motor Č. Budějovice (6)  4-0 (3-0; 4-2; 6-2; 2-1 OT)   HC Kometa Brno (4) b. HC Energie Karlovy Vary (5)  4-2 (3-4 OT; 3-2; 2-0; 0-1; 5-3; 1-0)
    • The Italian pair have a disastrous performance: the score is much worse than at the European Championships and also than at the previous 2 World Championships. In general, they have been doing worse at every World Championship since 2023. Assuming that in 1 year one Russian pair returns at a high level, the chances of an Olympic medal are almost zero.
