Women's Softball Tournament at the Summer Olympic Games 2020

Recommended Posts

The incident when Rangel bunted a double thanks to the Japanese carelesness reminded of another similar incident from the 2018 Worlds Finals.

Back then a Japanese player hit the ball down and assumed it fouled. Aubree Munro casually picked up the ball and tagged out the Japanese player who was waiting for another pitch.

Pretty good first two days, the level of competition seems quite even, even if the favourites have so far won each match.

:JPN Japan & :USA USA have been tested so far. They are definitely going to play for gold. The real competition is for the 3rd & 4th spots. I think :CAN Canada & :MEX Mexico will make that bronze medal game.

Can Italy win a match I don't them to finish 6th for obvious reasons

Considering their performance against United States and Australia, it's possible.

I don't know if it's the Aus pitcher, but someone is shouting on every pitch to the Canadians.  It's very distracting.  I wonder if the batters can even hear it or if it bothers them as much as it's annoying me.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
