Olympian1010 7,791 Posted February 15, 2020 #5141 Share Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) This is a bit sad tbh. Buttigieg will capitalize on this. His Latino vote might actually be a tangible thing now. (For the record I would have gotten this question right. Answer is: AMLO (a socialist)) I think we should ask every presidential candidate to find Rwanda on a map...(if we really want to determine the African American vote this way ) Edited February 15, 2020 by Olympian1010 “Sport has the power to change the world. Olympian1010 7,791 Posted February 16, 2020 #5142 Share Posted February 16, 2020 I hate to admit it, but Bloomberg is running the best campaign by far. Monzanator 4,181 Posted February 16, 2020 #5143 Share Posted February 16, 2020 Told ya before, Bloomberg is running the same campaign Trump run four years ago. He's not reliant on the party funds and big wigs, He might see these fighting Dems out all the way until November.

I sure it will, but there a few scenarios that could make life interesting. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. The so-called democracy is just a merger between two parties and everyone knows a vote for someone else will be wasted. Last time a dissenting political vote made any influence in USA was Ross Perrot. But the lesson has been learned, now every billionaire with political ambitions won't be allowed to run as independent anymore.

Bloomberg's campaign is pretty much entirely own money (and way more than Trump ever spent). You could say that Bloomberg is campaigning like you would have expected Trump to, but not really like he did. There aren't really much alike other than being rich and a certain focus at the angry people in the country (Trump at those being angry for feeling forgotten and Bloomberg just everybody who wants Trump out of the White house). Another similarity (though not so much a matter of the 2 but more the other candidates) is that their road to the win is the infighting between the other candidates. Olympian1010 7,791 Posted February 17, 2020 #5147 Share Posted February 17, 2020 And so begins the battle of the democratic titans... I’m not a fan of these “Bernie Bro’s”, but I also know that every other candidate has the exact same followers. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Yep The GOP is a political party. The Democrats are everyone not that. It’s been an issue in the past, and it’s going to be an issue this year. 30-40% of the party wants Bernie, 30-40% wants a moderate, and 20% wants something in the middle, there’s going 30% that refuse to endorse the other sides candidate, especially after this long and painful primary. I’ve already decided that I will refuse to vote for Bloomberg. I’ll waste my vote on Hawkins or La Riva instead in the general election. The only exception to me being “Bernie or bust” at this point is Warren or Klobuchar for the sole prospect of having our first woman president. Maybe, and a big one at that, I could support Buttigieg since he’d be the first gay president. Plus, he’s at least somewhat close to my viewpoints (compared to the other “moderates”). “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Agger 1,632 Posted February 18, 2020 #5150 Share Posted February 18, 2020 I think this primary has just seen it's weirdest polling result (at least among those actually getting a mention by serious experts): Some company called Point Blank Political has a poll in Nevada saying that Tom Steyer is in the lead with 18,6%, Klobuchar at 2nd with 15,6% closely followed by Biden, Sanders and Buttigieg. I would not be the slightest bit surprised if they work with Steyer. But they are good enough to mention that all candidates in the top 5 are within the margin of error. Somehow FiveThirtyEight has it in their list, but I doubt that it effects their average much. Meanwhile a more known pollster (though with a B/C ranking in their system) has Buttigieg at above 15% for the first time in a Nevada poll. It also puts Warren at her highest in the State since november. while Biden drops below 15 % for the first time. Such a result would be good for both Buttigieg and Warren while it would be another terrible loss for Biden that could very well take him another step closer to dropping out. But well, it's a caucus and it's still a few days (and a debate) away.
