This is unreal.  He was my idol.  I went to so many games of his.   I was there when he scored 81 points.   I'm really speechless.  He was more then a player for us in l.a

I was on a domestic flight in Canada, the first thing anybody said when we touched down was that Kobe had just died. A bunch of us, complete strangers, started talking about him and reminiscing for a couple minutes.

 

We lost an icon today.

LA Times has gotten rid of all their paywalls on Kobe articles. Probably the best source to follow at this point.

This is true. Anytime you threw something away, put something away, toss something, etc. you say “Kobe!” (And then you generally miss horribly because we’re not Kobe :():

      I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
