Where did you hear that? There's a disappointing amount of information on that on Twitter :p

ESP commentators saw her tearing in the warm up area or something. It's very alleged. :p

Confusing times by New Zealand and Australia. They are the countries least hit by COVID and it showed in other sports (rowing, swimming). If anything they should be faster than expected. Maybe they saved their best for later on.

They will get it back anyways (or the US will break it) so it wouldn’t make sense to cry. No one seriously expected that the world record wouldn’t be broken here.

Alright, now we know quite a lot more about what the German time means :p

Still, this is with a mediocre Dygert, so let's see the Brits. Should be an clear medal though, although that was probably clear already.

Edit: mediocre Dygert was a bit wrong, she destroyed the team because she was too strong.

Massive disappointment by the Canadians.  Top 4 would have been tough after Germany's time, but Aus left the door open.  Unfortunately the Canadians imploded on the last few laps.  Medal favorites to last place.

Probably weather-affected last week: happier in the air-con.

If this WR will stand, then I would be really interested to know how Germany improved that much. Obviously the most likely explanation is doping, but I wonder how Germany could have such a superior doping program in cycling while being shit in swimming/athletics/rowing.
