Sprint Canoeing at the Summer Olympic Games 2020

Recommended Posts

We sure are lucky with this two boats per NOC rule in K1 1000m, we weren't in medal contention for half of a century, this is pretty much the first time ever for us that we have two strong athletes in this events.

It probably looks ridiculous that I am complaining after the 1-2, but that start was quite bad for both of our boats, I hope they won't repeat that part in the final.

And wow, :SLO is out.

That will be a close final between :HUN and :NZL with maybe :BLR or :POL as spoilers. The good news for us in K4 is that the 2nd :HUN K2 boat is much stronger than the 2nd :NZL K2 boat.

Well, so far we are the only ones benefitting from the two boat per NOC rule, maybe :GER will also qualify two boats in one or two male events later.

    • For anyone who was involved with buying tickets for Paris 2024, can anyone comment on how LA28's process seems similar or different?  I'm hoping to get tickets so my family and I can go, and I've already found events we'd like to go to (def. won't be medal matches, as I know those will be out of our price range).   Seems like Paris had some sort of 'package' deal you had to do, but I haven't seen anything like that for LA28.   Also, re: the draw system, was it the case that whenever your time slot became available, you had access to any session?  Or were only certain sessions available?  (And, if so, were different sessions available in a later ticket drop?)   Is it the case that preliminary sessions sell out more quickly than medal sessions?  Or vice-versa?   (To anyone interested in going: AirBnBs are able to be reserved up to two years ahead of time, so starting July-August, you should be able to make reservations.)
