Well the US probably won’t send anyone, we only have a decent slalom program

They are sending a team to the qualifiers so they should be able to qualify.

and 2 more silver medals for SVK in this last afternoon session.

Lucia Valová after her mornings gold in 500 gained silver in C1-200m W Juniors and the young Matúš Jedinák won the same medal in M Juniors K1-200m.

So 5 medals overall (3-2-0). Very good tournament for our colors, definitely there were not so huge expectations at all, personally I´m really happy especially with the K4-500

Well the first day only sees the K4 men and K4 women compete and with only 6 entries in each event, and 6 qualifying for Lima2019, all have qualified.

This will also mean that Belize and Jamaica will debut in Jamaica.

I made a quick count of entries and, according to qualification criteria, almost every athlete competing here is qualified for the Games.

Sadly, Peru didn't show, so they have lost the possibility to compete in their own games.

    • It's close between Mexico and Venezuela. Mexico probably has the better pitching but I think Venezuela is far superior when it comes to star power. They have pretty much all their top guys on offense besides Altuve.   I did accidentally forget Cuba. Call me crazy but I'm placing them 7th behind Panama. Panama is my dark horse team for the tournament and Cuba isn't looking too pretty these days to be honest especially on offense although Canada, Panama and Cuba are all probably roughly in the same tier. Maybe Puerto Rico as well since they're missing their 3 best players on offense.

    • The Italian team has already achieved a better result than the Chinese team in 2022 at home. The Italian team has made enormous progress since 2023, when we were still losing to Korea and Poland. Of course, this is mainly due to naturalizations, but China did the same. It's one of the few sports that have made significant progress before these Olympics and this is how it should be in most disciplines at home games.
